Comment on that Facebook post from the owner:

It’s my car it’s only weight reduction is the Racestar’s .. I just ordered a ds and axles waiting on shipment . I ran best of 11.3 at mir with all star prep it broke the halft shaft in second gear and the air was way better with previous tuner .. switch to wengerd one tune no revision went 10.9 on my 3rd hot lap with air that was not optimal for racing rain on the windshield and water grains up and humidity he’s got the sauce 100 percent

Is E85 readily available in Indiana?

I would guess the answer is yes.

Install the headers. Consider getting rid of that 2.25" crimp construction in the stock resonator (most of the aftermarket systems have it, too, so consider what @Q6543 did to his car, 3" dual pass muffler, or hopefully your lethal system got rid of that restriction) so that you have a very free flowing exhaust.

Then tune for E85.

Wengerd has a Facebook post on November 17, "2025 S650 NA E85 full weight LTH and stall converter. Previously he was stuck with his 11.3 et as his PB. Swapped over to our tune and knocked 3 tenths off for a 10.9 at 125mph."

Most of us are not doing a stall converter (60 ft. is 1.57!), but 125.84 mph in the quarter mile at S650 weight with a driver is a decent amount of horsepower, considering that stock GTs are at 114 mph to 118 mph.
Yes, E85 is all over in Southern Indiana. There's even a alcohol plant near here that makes a gazillion gallons of alcohol for automotive use. My goal is a tuner that will make 93 tune and a second E85 tune. If worst case occurs, I can switch back to 93 and be okay.

I am pretty sure that already exists.

This is what I originally got along with the flex for my 2019 when I ordered my Wengerd Tune. When I first tuned the car it had a full tank of 93 from a busy top tier gas station. When I loaded the tune I did the logs required and sent them to Darryl. He replied with what gas do you have in it? I replied 93. He said well it’s pulling timing and I’m going to send you a 91 tune so use that. I put a lot of miles on the car, mostly on the E85 tune with zero issues. I never loaded the 93 tune. When I ever went to 93 gas I used the 91 tune and never had any issues. So if you skeptical about your local 93 my suggestion would be 91 and E85 but best to email Wengerd and ask them.

Not sure who keeps spreading the "not much left" line. These cars are severely limited by rich PE fueling, unreal amounts of tq management, 87 octane safe spark and a gimped trans. My trans tuning alone on an otherwise stock car will make it feel like you picked up 50hp. Forget about all the refinements that are done on both PCM and TCM sides.

And thats for 93. On E85, the metric ton of spark these want is almost 10* more than stock. Thats a tremendous bump in power. Marry that with 7800-8k unencumbered shifts and you have a rocketship. These new s650s are unreal. I see them moving the same amount of air through their stock intakes and airfilters that gen3 cars with tune required JLTs would do. Once you feel the difference, you will question what was Ford thinking letting them out of the factory like they do.

You do tunes? I'm curious, who's hardware do you use? I'd love a true 93 octane tune and an E85 tune. If I find myself in an area with no E85 available I'd like to switch to 93 and be on my way. I have long tube 1 7/8 headers, a double H pipe, and a Steeda CAI system on it.

Of course. I do the full suite of 93/e85 tunes and use the RTD4 and TDN app by hp tuners. You can email me at [email protected].
