I should have gotten back to this after I received and installed the Kenny Brown rails...
Side by side comparison with the Steeda full length rails. Steeda on the left, KB on the right.
Steeda's rails are just simple square tubing and despite being capped off on the ends and having rubber plugs in the mounting bolt access holes, mine still had some water and road grime in them. They were on the car for maybe 4 months of use and 5 months of storage
KB rails are trapezoidal in shape, made of heavier gauge steel than the Steeda rails, galvanized rather than powder coated, and are more of an open design that can be hosed or pressure washed out without worrying about having water trapped inside them. Though I doubt I will ever worry about it enough to bother.
In the front the KB rails use the same mounting holes and do still extend below the pinch weld.
Rather than being rotated towards the center of the vehicle once they are bolted tight, the KB rails remain perpendicular to the floor due to their shape.
In the rear, the KB rails are primarily flush with the pinch weld, but I doubt they will work with Steeda's IRS support braces due to where the rails mount.
