2025 base GT, a little over 17,000 miles. No performance mods done, only suspension work ( BMR front rear sway bars, BMR front/rear end links, BMR front strut tower brace, and BMR drag lowering springs + wheels and tires). It dumped almost all of the coolant out sitting for a few days. Shop told me it is a poor bracket design from Ford. Had it towed to a Ford dealership, unsure if they will cover it under warranty. I would think it had to have been that way for a while to end up like that?

Suspension mods you listed - Self install? Shop installation?

My honest opinion and thoughts.

1. Wouldn't take long to wear through based on the photo you provided.
2. Odds are at least 50/50 that someone working on your Mustang caused this issue. There is no way it was like that for 17,000 miles.

Shop install. Fair enough.

Good luck with the fix. Failures happen and this is an easy fix.

People seeing the thread can check their vehicles and chime in. But I also think it's related more to the work that was accomplished before.

Maybe the lowering of the vehicle changed the alignment of several pieces. Maybe people working on the front end above and below. IDK. Modern vehicles are component dense, with many things that are a tight fit or have little slack.

There are several connectors and brackets that can be delicate, especially if handled in the wrong direction, or operated in the wrong manner (for example, pushing on tabs instead of pulling).

The setup worked well for 17,000 mi / 27,200 km. It probably did not make much noise before, due to the plastic weave sheathing. I don't remember another Member with a similar problem.

Glad to read there was no lasting damage to the engine or car. The dealer should get it sorted easily.

Definitely looks like something the shop did. All of sudden your coolant leaked all over the ground? Looks like they pushed or moved the line and it was then making contact with the pully wheel and it burned through the coolant line. Definitely talk with shop.

Had something similar on my wife's car. A factory misrouted turbo coolant hose that finally wore through on the accessory belt. Luckily it waited until after our 1000km trip moving north.
