Wow... this is excellent news, mate!

I called my dealer in Parramatta and he still has no clue when to expect the car(s). I better get some extra swags for all the agony I have been put in... Rubber Bootmat and a Jacket plus a Hat would do... lol

Great to hear there is some movement.
My dealer this morning said it’s still caught up in quarantine, although I thinks that’s the easy response.

I’ve moved my PPF & coating to the following week to be safe

My DH arrived at Dealership this morning. Now when car I have it.
Got a call today advising my car will be ready for collection this Friday pm. Getting a bank cheque tomorrow. Currently it's parked in the showroom. Rang the PPF guy and put off the wrap until 6 January when they return from Xmas break, Will stay overnight near dealership and slow drive home to Tea Gardens Saturday morning avoiding stone damage by dropping back a little in traffic and will park up until time to go to Sydney for wrap. I've waited almost 2.5 years since placing a deposit so a few more weeks awaiting spirited driving is okay. I will also have completed treatment for a medical condition by 20 December.
I hope the people waiting on cars are able to get some good news soon and the people caught up in taking delivery of new cars held up by the recall get some early resolve. Merry Christmas everyone. and a Happy New Year. I won't be ordering a new Mustang anytime soon.

Great news Bossburton, you must be getting excited now.

I also got an update today, finally clearing quarantine & will be at the dealer Friday. I’ll go for a sneaky look then, before pre delivery starts.

Dashcam & PPF/ coating rescheduled & starting late next week.
As you say it’s been a long journey & I hope there is good news to come for everyone else waiting

Hi all,

First time caller, long term listener! Been stalking the forums for the past few months since I got notification of my build back in May. Appreciate the wealth of info from the posts.

Like many, I intially had a GT 550 on order since Dec 2021 and then immediately had my dealer change my deposit for a DH after the s650 was announced and revealed. As soon as I saw it, I was in absolute love and awe.
Have had a Vapour Blue DH on order since, and been holding my breath the entire journey. Been too scared to post for fear that something would happen to my order.

Been tracking the Torino like many others and was relieved it didn’t sink/crash/flood/get hijacked or something stupid, but it arrived safe and sound and got notification from the dealer that they expected it on time by first week December.
Then had the recall scare, but thankfully my VIN not on the list. Have had no nootification from the dealer since and again didn’t want to jinx myself and planned to touch base with them next week.

Had a friend forward the news above of the stolen Dark Horse from the docks. My heart just sank.

the news story says the dealer has notified the poor customer. I haven’t heard anything so hoping it’s not me, but still worried maybe they reported that incorrectly and they haven’t actually told the owner of the theft.

anyway will be a nervous weekend.
3 years of waiting let alone all the dramas from chip shortage to delays in manufacturing to shipping delays to recalls to potential damage to cars waiting in quarantine and now this…..my mates have already got their cayman gts and m4 ordered more than a year after us all.

The only thing keeping me hopeful is the endless positive feedback on how crazily good these cars are….may need to check in more to the forum for ongoing counselling and to keep up the spirits.

Now to find out who the poor sod is who’s cars been stolen 😓 just hope it’s a broker or someone who isn’t as invested and passionate as us all are

That would be the worse news to get
Picked up DH yesterday in Bathurst. Looked great on the dealers floor in Blue Ember. Pity about the inclement weather, now home in Tea Gardens needing a good wash.
I received instruction at dealership on many of the electronic settings but driving home forgot where to set cruise control and feared pushing a button on steering wheel in case it was incorrect. Haven't driven this far without cruise for ages.
First impressions. Steering felt on the heavy side but it had no understeer and just bit in on fast cornering. Since I arrived home I have watched a tutorial and I now know how to set cruise and the steering feel has 3 settings. Noise under acceleration is wonderful but no so much the fuel economy. Still have a lot to learn and remember about the car electronics.
The dealership kept every tag and paperwork that came with the car and presented me with it in a nice folder. Much appreciated. One thing, there was a report on why the car was quarantined. It wasn't for mud as I had been advised by a friend but rather DUST. Probably from the 6 weeks it spent on Baltimore wharf waiting for a ship to Oz.
It's in for PPF wrap on 6 January in Sydney so limited or no driving until then.
Will send some photos once it has been cleaned.
Arranged a spare wheel from Pony Parts Qld which duly arrived. However, on trying to fit it to the boot well it was slightly too big. The paperwork suggested if tight to use undiluted washing up detergent and it should slip in. The worry is when it is time to remove (could be months or years) it will be stuck tight and difficult to remove.
I'm going to try to find a tyre truing business to get a few mm trimmed of the circumference.
The car is AWESOME by the way if you haven't gleaned this so far..
