Thank you bfets for the heads up with this one.
Checked and there are no recalls for my Vin either and my Vin is not on the list at vehiclerecall.gov.au
The repair look a bit nasty appearance wise. Feels like I got a lucky break.
Hi OBDH, I received my 24.5 Dark Horse on 5 December last year. One of the first things I did was to check what the delivered suspension geometry readings were. I had been told by my specialist that Australian specs would be different to USA cars. Reason given was that the roads in America are...
Adam, I have sent an email to Brendan Thomas as I am interested in this product as well.
A bit of guess work front parking at present.
Thanks for pursuing this important issue.
Hopefully other will follow this up as well, to hopefully, make it happen.
Wheels conducted a review of 25 contenders for the 2024 review split between Electric, Hybrid, Petrol and one diesel.
The Dark Horse Mustang made it through to the top 6 cars in round 2 with Peter Robinson declaring "the best Mustang I've ever driven". Other reviewers were also flattering...
Thanks. I wouldn't consider driving a left hand drive car in Oz. Too dangerous for my liking. When on your own driving in a line of traffic can't see oncoming cars around the car in front.
The cost to convert an old car here is not cheap but worth it for peace of mind.
I like them both for different reasons. The Boss is raw old school and the DH a potent great driving car.
One took me 12 years to restore and the other almost 12 years to save up for.
My 1970 Boss 302 was built in October 1969. The Dark Horse on 26 August 2024.
Took the Boss for a drive last Sunday and while parked on the driveway decided to place the new Dark Horse next to it for a few pics.
Hope you enjoy the giant leap forward evident between these two.
I had the same problem when I drove home from the dealership. Very annoying as stated.
Mentioned it to the dealer principal when he called me to see how the car was going.
He said this was a Ford problem affecting many models. The solution if you don't want to turn off Lane Assist (as mentioned...
UPDATE
I'm pleased to report the 19 inch wheel is now a resident of my boot wheel well.
I didn't shave the diameter of the tyre. Instead I reduced the tyre pressure to 15 lb. and used the detergent on the sides (3) (as recommended by the supplier) where the tyre made contact. It went almost down...
Thanks. The supplier Pony Parts Sunshine Coast stated it would fit both the car and the boot.
Probably why the supplier had a good price on the item.
I'm looking to trim 6mm off the rolling diameter which will still leave a thread depth of 4mm.
Nothing decided finally just yet. Still investigating.
19" I am still investigating fitment in trunk/boot.. It's heavy and awkward to install having to lean forward while supporting the wheel..
Haven't made any progress with regard to finding a business to trim down the overall size of the fitted tyre at 35 PSI. In the meantime I am making a...
Picked up DH yesterday in Bathurst. Looked great on the dealers floor in Blue Ember. Pity about the inclement weather, now home in Tea Gardens needing a good wash.
I received instruction at dealership on many of the electronic settings but driving home forgot where to set cruise control and...
Got a call today advising my car will be ready for collection this Friday pm. Getting a bank cheque tomorrow. Currently it's parked in the showroom. Rang the PPF guy and put off the wrap until 6 January when they return from Xmas break, Will stay overnight near dealership and slow drive home to...
Received a call from my dealer an hour ago. The quarantine ends today and he is hopeful car will be delivered to dealership by Thursday. Finally some good news.
One of my neighbors ( now retired) worked for an import company. He said usually quarantine lasts 1 to 2 weeks. It will be 2 weeks on Monday so we will see. I had mine booked in for PPF on 4 December now put off awaiting news my car is in Bathurst at dealers. It's starting to look like I will...
