Currently I have installed the "Street Starter" (#4455) and it has been great so far. I want to upgrade to the handling pack. Based on Steeda's table I will have to add vertical links (#4121) , rear toe links (#4120) and diff bushing inserts (4443). The later one might increase the noise and I'm a bit hesitant.
  1. Has anyone done this upgrade or installed the ultimate handling kit? Any significant changes in NVH ?
  2. If an upgrade is done will an alignment be needed afterwards?
  3. Does the "stop the hop kit" need periodic re-torquing after x amount of miles or isn't necessary.

@tj@steeda any input is appreciated

Thanks

Of your additional list I only installed the vertical links.
it did make a difference, the rear is tighter, clearly feel it when driving canyon type of roads.
I didn’t install the other 2 as I was concerned about early wear / NVH.
Good luck with your project !

I've installed the vertical links and the rear diff bushing inserts, along with the subframe bushing support, alignment bushings and braces.

I also did a four wheel alignment once all was installed because the subframe and diff was moved around quite a bit during the install.

I haven't had any extra noise and issues, wheel hop is 99% eliminated. Much better than when it came out of the factory with all the rubber crap.

I have the full Steeda set up on my 2017 S550 the NVH is negligible until I did the differential bushings and I used the softer density bushings.
This will require an alignment after install and I would suggest a shop that is familiar with these cars and track settings.

I have checked my car at least twice usually before a big track outing and the torque has never changed.

you will get used to the added NVH quickly and as a driver who is pushing their car towards its limits you will appreciate the confidence Steeda’s suspension provides.

My car is only limited by the tires and the stock seats and the nerves of its driver.
Good Luck

The vertical links and rear toe links don’t add any noticeable NVH ... they actually tighten up the rear without making the car harsher. The only piece that can introduce a bit of extra noise is the diff bushing insert kit, and even then, it’s usually a mild increase that's not very pronounced under certain load conditions.

As for alignment — yes, you’ll want one. Any time you touch rear toe links, it’s smart to get the alignment dialed in afterward so you’re not fighting uneven tire wear or a crooked steering wheel.

The Stop‑the‑Hop components don’t require periodic re‑torquing once they’re installed correctly. Just torque everything to spec during install, and you’re good to go. Although it never hurts

Best,

TJ
