So my original plan was an x pipe but I have been procrastinating. I am now thinking steeda h pipe. Foe those that have the steeda h pipe and ave if yoy have the h pipe on normal how does it compare to sport and track on stock ave? Juat curious if I can still quiet it down enough when I need to.

I have a Roush H-pipe, not Steeda, but I would expect similar results. The active exhaust is definitely louder in all modes vs. the stock resonator. It's very noticeable when accelerating and putting a load on the engine. What I really like, though, it's not louder when cruising along at low RPMs. Creeping along in quiet mode is still stealthy.

Cold starts in quiet mode, though, are louder with the H-pipe. Still seems noticeably quieter than a non active exhaust, though.

I have stock active valve exhaust and the roush h-pipe. My opinion is that normal, sport, and track all moved up 1 level. So afterward normal = sport, sport = track, and track = extra track. Quiet is slightly louder but still quiet. In my neighborhood, I generally start in quiet then switch to normal when revs drop.

I have the Steeda h pipe with the stock AVE. The h pipe dialed up the volume by I would guesstimate roughly 10-15%. Sounds noticeably deeper and louder but not in a bad way, I love it and think it balances just right with the stock active valve exhaust system really well. It gives the car that much more of a true muscle car aggressive sound. I’d recommend it.

Anyone have experience with AVE loudest mode vs an axle-back (basically just mufflers, like Roush, Borla, etc. with the stock resonator)?

I have a double H pipe with high flow resonators on my '25 DH. It is a deeper rumble than stock. The S650s seem to really like the H pipes. I can't stand the raspy X pipes, but it's personal preference.

I also have the Steeda H-pipe and active exhaust. Like others have said, it's slightly louder than stock (better sounding), but not crazy. Cold starts are louder for sure, but again - not crazy or stupid.

If you're truly concerned about neighbors or anything (like in the morning), just set it to start in quiet mode.

Yes - the Steeda H-Pipe is not obnoxious & has a great tone, loud on cold starts but not crazy.

I concur with what everyone else has said here. I have a GT with active valve exhaust and H-pipe.

Cold start, especially from inside a garage, is loud, but otherwise it's only slightly louder in all the other situations. When I remote start it in parking lots as I walk up to it, it sounds great.

I went from always having it in track mode with stock exhaust to always having it in normal mode with H-pipe. However, if I'm just cruising around at low RPMs I still put it in track mode which still isn't offensive at low RPMs.

Just last week I needed to pass someone, so put it in sport mode and floored it, and the exhaust absolutely screamed. But then again my convertible top was down too, so it sounded and felt like I was riding on a rocket haha.

A lot of customers really like the tone of our H-Pipe. If you want the louder exhaust, the track mode and even normal mode (depending on your definition of loud) is pretty perfect. But if you need a quieter cold start, then quiet mode is still good and wont be overbearing.
