Not disputing that, I have just not seen a car with these issues come in.
The key word in a recall notice is "certain" It may be a small sample, we had an F-150 recall last year that only applied to 300 vehicles nationally. The cyl head recall you mentioned affects 4 cyl models. We used to sell a lot of Ecoboost Mustangs, but seems like that engine in an S650 is way less popular than it used to be.

Dug a bit more and found this... looks like only one days engine production.
Affected vehicles: select units of the Ford Maverick built on October 31st, 2025; units of the Lincoln Corsair built on November 6th; units of the Ford Mustang built October 23rd; and units of the Ford Explorer built between November 3rd and November 12th.

I have not experienced any of those issues. Nor have I heard of any of those issues on this forum outside of the infotainment stuff, which is pretty common in most new cars.

Sometimes going down the rabbit hole on car forums causes more stress and worry than reality warrants. I say enjoy the wait and dont try to find things wrong with your car before you take delivery of it.

@AZ_Ryan I agree with your thoughts here 100%! These are NOT hand-built, $200K cars! Plus, they have LOTS of very complex technology and performance parts, which is why we love them in the first place! Just me, but trying to nit-pick every little appearance item on a car like the Mustang is totally unrealistic. They just don't build them that carefully! If you want that sort of "quality", you need to expect to pay 2-3X the price! C'mon and be reasonable folks! These are GREAT cars and having the Mustang as a V8-MT option in today's world at well <$100K is too good to be true! So quit making absurd claims and enjoy what we have. Doesn't mean reall problems with any single vehicle should be ignored, but my experience buying many US-built hi-po cars over last 30 years (plus many from Europe too) says we have nothing to complain about! Just my two cents.

Not being contradictive, just wanted to show you what I came across several times. I appreciate very much your input and feel more confident this issue has been resolved. My previous life I was intelligence anylist and I look at every possible issue, the find a mitigation and you contributed to this mitigation along with others. I would like to know your thoughts and experience with the S-650 and any quality issues....THANKS so much.

Thanks so much, as this helps, I guess it would be safe to say, issue resolved.

I had a '24 for 2 years and 17K miles, and 2K miles into my '26. The only reason I traded was Adriatic Blue! I've loved both cars, and I personally had no issues with either one. Things I've seen on the drive... a good number of taillights, which at $1,800 a pop, that tells me we ALL need an ESP with lighting coverage, we've had a very few random water leaks and rattles, a power window motor. Early on, a couple a/c compressor failures, all '24s, and that was a problem across the board with other models.
How do I account for all the stuff I read here? I can't, I just know what I see.

I made the point once, to several people's dismay, that these are mid priced, domestic cars, built by union labor.

Wow great advice and responses. I really am looking forward to getting my first Mustang after having owned six Corvettes and six Camaros over the years. I understand these are mass produced cars and do have small issues, but what I am concerned about are oil leaks from the factory that should not happen, or software glitches. I was in the IT field for a very long time, and there should not have some of the issues that I am reading about, beta testing should have revealed these on/off, reset issues. However, it is what it is, and I am just interested to know on my original post, what issues I noted are fixed and what issues SHOULD I EXPECT when taking delivery in late May. BUT Love the list of taking deliver, that checklist is very valuable during Delivery Day. THANKS EVERYONE for all your input and experiences.
A lot of the issues with the infotainment systems in new cars has to do with the iOS and different versions of Android OS that are constantly updating and causing there to be constant updates to apps. This also creates issues with you guessed it (Carplay and Android Auto). The auto manufacturers try to stay on top of these issues with updates to their systems as well but as with anything that syncs from outside of the auto manufacturers native systems is always going to create glitches.

It's the price we have to pay for trying to integrate these things. A lot of proprietary stuff that companies don't want to share everything about.

Any time I've ever experienced any issues with black/frozen screens I have found a simple shut down and restart of the vehicle fixes those issues. Things are laggy, people get impatient and start doing multiple pushes on command prompts/screen touches and the systems get hung up.

Maybe someday things will work flawlessly... 🤞🏻

Ive spent a lot of time on this forum and the 6G forum and one thing I've never heard of was an oil leak on anyone's car.

I know you're an analyst, but you really should stop hunting for things to go wrong before you even have the car. That train of thought isnt healthy. It is a mass produced domestic car. There will always be fit and finish and minor glitches. Setting unrealistic expectations will just lead to stress and disappointment. Your new car should be enjoyed not feared.

Im on mustang number 8. Ive found that my '08, '15, '23, and '24 mustangs to all be reliable and problem free. The only one that needed repair was the alternator on the '08. Yes, there were some fit and finish issues and some rattles here and there on all of them, and yes, they all had an open recall at one point or another. But it was always a minor inconvenience that was easily fixed. Again, its a mass produced Ford. Not a 200k hand built luxury car.

On a 5.0, either F-150 or Mustang, oil leaks are pretty rare unless its a real high mile vehicle.

Fords quality control unfortunately has not been getting any better over the years, if you're a very picky person you'll find plenty of things wrong with a new mustang. It really depends what type of person you are. Some people wouldn't notice any issues.

Actually, most things I end up fixing myself, and my best friend is body guy and he is excellent with panel alignment etc. Just want to know what to expect as this is my first Ford ever, and I have no idea what the QC is at the Mustang Factory. I know what Corvette QC is, and although never visited Camaro factory in Canada, Camaro was very good overall. So thought I would ask to know what to expect and you guy are filling me in, certainly don't expect Lamborghini QC, but hope on line with Camaro.

I've owned multiple corvettes and mustangs. The corvette is far superior in quality control there is no comparison. I feel if you're already concerened you're going to be disappointed.

Heck, I know what I am getting into, do not expect a Corvette Delivery, I use to get the Museum Delivery, but feel it will be more like the Camaro. Regards, nothing I cannot have or fix myself, including engine issues. Use to restore Corvettes and member of NCRS, so as state this is my first Ford, and Mustang, just want to know what to expect. Looked at C8, just did not like it, I like the long hood, short back, the traditional body style. Appear to be great cars, but wanted to try the Mustang. CHEERS.
