Yeah but that's just the pretext. It's really for 24/7 spying on everything or anything you do. I mean imagine if I get rubber on a second gear grannyshift and bust the speed limit by 10-15 or so is my car gonna shut off? As I mentioned, the on-line false story about facial recognition was the same source as the Drunk-o-meter story. There are tons more fake on-line stories about proposed NHTSA regulations. All one has to do, is to go to the NHTSA's site, and look up what is actually on the docket.

All of us hate regulations which we feel are intrusions into our personal domain is it were. A good example are airbags which aren't filled with air! Yet, they have saved thousands of lives, but we also must realize, they kill ≈100 people a year. And... We must also realize devices like Drunk-o-meters, FC cameras, and self-driving apps cross the line for way too many of us. In any case, let's don't make this a political fire fight where no one wins!
