S650 Weight

My modded s650 performance pack 10r80 Magneride full fuel tank weighed =
3720lbs

My buddys stock base s650 10r80 300a full fuel tank weighed =
3750lbs

on the same scale..

which is really bizarre because we almost weigh the same after all these mods. I plan to shed some more weight of the vehicle and would like to know more about the differences between those car specs.

I know the pp cars got more weight in:
- front 6 piston and 4 rear piston brakes
- Heavier pp wheels
- Strut tower & K braces.
- Heavier front and rear sway bars.
- Magneride (optional)

My Dark Horse weighs 3950 with a quarter tank of gas. It has Steeda jacking rails, rear progressive springs which are a little heavier than the stock springs, Stop the Hop kit with subframe brace and 19x10, 19x11 wheels with 275 & 295/35 tires.

I weighed the stock suitcase resonator and it was 7 lbs heavier than the aftermarket H pipe. I didn’t weigh the Kooks cattless LTH but I assume it’s way lighter than the catted stock shorties.

That sounds about right. The truck scale I used just does increments of 50lbs so not exact.

Actually weighing a vehicle with driver in the car is the correct way to do it. I drive a 2024 Eco-Boost Premium, and the advertised curb weight (supposedly wet with all fluids?) is 3,512. It actually weighs 3,525. With me in it, 3,690.

The above mentioned weights are close as the advertised curb weight for a GT automatic is 3,752. I've only seen one weight figure got a GT, and it was a 2025. Without the driver, it was just shy of 3,800 but I don't remember the exact amount. Seems like no two Mustangs are the same.

A lot of the weight difference seen here is the fuel load. Gas weighs just over 6 pounds per gallon. With the tank size 18 and a fraction gallons, that is about 110 pounds.
