S650 Tech Packages Suck: Prove Me Wrong

One thing I noticed, the lane keep assist is the worst I've ever seen. It doesn't kick in until you're on top of the line then it jerks you too harshly back to the other line. It's more swervy than me after a case of Miller lite. My GFs 2017 sub 20k corolla does a way better job.

I only buy new custom order cars. It was the best of the options available to me. While I think the interior was the wrong direction and has several deficiencies compared to older designs, I can live with it

like I said before it was my 2nd choice, I love the engine, and the performance of this Mustang gen, not a fan of the interior design, which is a deciding factor in a daily driver. If they could have but the Camaro dash design into the mustang body it would have been the perfect car.

GM ended up making the choice for me when they ended production without picking up my order, so I went over to the ford dealership and ordered my 2nd choice of replacement for old 09.

I personally hated the Camaro interiors. Sitting in a gun turret with no viability was just weird. But to each there own. They were nice cars otherwise.

It's a Mustang not a Lexus. It's never been a premium car. Its an American Pony car (affordable and powerful). That said the S650 is light years ahead of the two previous generations. I think the 401a package is very well equipped as is.

My 2024 GT 401-A with Active Exhaust sounds a lot better than any Tahoe, is more fun to drive & when is the last time a Tahoe has turned someone’s Heads?
My Wife says it’s our Mustang & her Kitchen.
The only thing I would change is it would be nice to have the 10 Way Power Passenger & Drivers Front Seat.
Our 2020 F150 4 x 4 Limited has those optional seats.

I believe the lane keeper steering jerks the steering wheel to keep the Driver aware of Road Conditions and keep the Driver from falling asleep?
I’m sure there’s probably more but I may be out of bounds.

Are you referring the Lane Keeping Assist, or the Lane Centering Assist?

I personally hate lane keeping assist on any car and turned mine off. It's just to obtrusive.

lol, no not really though, had my 09 GT for 15 years as my daily. I wanted a 22 Shelby or at least a GT if I couldn’t get one, but my wife needed a new truck first so she got the 22 GMC 2500 denali. I figured I would wait a few years.

When they showed the interior of the S650 I was disappointed to say the least.

However there was no more waiting because all V8s were being discontinued. I liked the body and engine of the Mustang, but not a fan of the full digital and lack of integration of the screens. The Camaro had visibility problems, but the dash styling, tactile buttons, hud, and camera system was just superior in every way. I was willing to lose some performance and visibility for that.

Because I'm an idiot, I was driving from Omaha to Lincoln for a football game with a truck full of people. As we're talking, I notice I'm getting passed like crazy on the left and I was surprised how many people were going over 80 mph, where I set my cruise. I look down, I'm doing 65 because of the car in front of me was driving so slow, . Shut cruise off and have turned it off on all vehicles since.

You can disable the speed limit assist. It's an option in the assist settings.

Unlike ASS, this one is permanent.
