X-Plan saved me $5800 on my deal this past summer, but I'm pretty sure the dealership calculated it wrong; it wasn't supposed to be that much.

there is nothing to calculate, the X plan price is right on the invoice from Ford

If you look at te pricing and ordering threads here, you can see what the MSRP and invoice prices are

X plan is .996 of invoice, plus 100% of destination, plus a very low doc fee and there is supposed to be a $275 fee to use the X plan

I was able to accurately calculate the X plan cost for my car, and before I even asked if the Dealer would honor an X plan price I got their lowest OTD price.

Between the limit on the Doc fee and the slight discount it was cheaper for me to do X plan over the retail deal they offered

I was a little surprised, according to KBB, that I only lost $7-8K.

I disagree that all cars lose tons of value off the lot… my 350R after 4 years and 15k miles… I could still get easily over sticker for it…

low mileage examples are still selling far above sticker …

A Mustang GT though… I’ve owned many and they all took massive hits in value but who cares …. I had a hell of a lot of fun and was worth every penny

Your years are likely conflating the Covid used car price inversion. Unless you bought a 2016 and sold it in 2019?

I just made some poor financial choices lol had a 2017 … sold and bought 2019 because A10 … then my daughter started really getting into cars but had no interest in old cars so I sold my 67 Shelby GT500 which I kind of hated owning anyways (another story lol) so I did make a killing on that but ended up with my 350 in 21 … MSRP was 72xxx … I got a smoking deal … and well with everything considered I could sell at msrp probably in less then a week … but it waited a few months should be able to get 75 or 76….

all the other ones in the 70s have issues or missing documentation … I sound like corvette guy documentation BS lol but yeah most with documentation no paint issues with esp are in the 80s

Off topic… saw the video of your car on you tube … still can’t believe that mph … I grew up on going to the strip … but all my buddies sold their cars or broke them and never fixed them decades ago… not going to lie… your car kind of makes me want to build a GT again lol but going to the strip without your buddies isn’t the same…

Also keep in mind that KBB isn't exactly impartial, and the "trade in value" is heavily biased in favour of the dealer.
