S650 Ambient Lighting improved?

Anybody know if the interior ambient lighting will be improved at all in s650 generation? Perhaps brighter or more lighting.

Thanks! Looks like it will remain unchanged. Was really hoping for more ambient lighting in the s650 as it would go well with the more modern interior.

I've been wondering what this looks like now that there aren't actual physical gauges to light up. Will the lighting come from behind the screens?

Hold on a minute. In Europe we don't have ambient light in the rear footwells (just in the front) and also not in the door map pockets (just where the door handle is), so that would be actually an add-on for us (if it will be offered like that).

I cannot recall that the S550 in the states had the same either.

S550 had ambient lighting in the door handles, front footwells, door sill plates, cup holders, and center gauges (if you had them)

Well I'm glad to see when I get my s650 it will have the same interior lighting as my 2011. Map pockets,cup holders,front foot wells and yes rear foot wells.

I doubt it, but well we will see that in the S650 for sure

Definitely NOT, and I know nothing about how they are in S550, but don’t even have them in cup holders,no lights in glove box or on the buttons for garage door opener

The cup holders don't even have the translucent piece at the bottom for lighting. I think it was a design choice. Unfortunate.
