Right side screen is now blank

My wife was driving the car today and she stopped at a gas station. When she turned the car back on the left screen came on but the right screen never did. She’s restarted it three times since earlier today and no change. It’s going in to the dealership obviously but has anyone had this issue before? She has also been having a hell of a time getting her phone to sync to the car. Almost every time she has to turn her phone on airplane mode and off to get the phone to sync. Needless to say she’s not happy. I wonder if these two issues are related somehow. I did one post about the black screen but no resolve posted on that thread.

My right screen has been slow to boot up once but did load after 30 seconds and it was very cold out at the time. Sounds like a dealer issue best wishes you get it fixed soon because they are cool.

This didn’t trick. Is this some sort of reset? I saw the ones Ford recommended but this wasn’t one of them. Thank you very much.

Yes, it resets the infotainment screen without having to pull the battery.

I have had the same issues with the right screen going black and phone connection problems. In addition, I often get a loud "buzz" noise when I hot the mustang button.

Dealership cannot repair. They said Ford will issue a software update in sept/Oct to "hopefully" fix the gremlins.

This has only happened to me once on my drive to work. When i got back in to drive home it worked like nothing ever happened, no problems since

It happens to me to after I used CarPlay - turning my phone off speeds recovery up...
Actually, come to think of it, it alway happen when I am listening to podcasts or audiobooks when I get into the car and carplay takes over. Afterwards the system goes “wonky” - rights screen sometimes take from 30s to 10 minutes to recover

I have the same issue, also a Carplay user. Sometimes the right screen doesn't immediately come on but will after 30-45 seconds. But even then it's a little wonky, like I don't get the lines on the reverse camera.

I'm hoping at some point Ford addresses this in an OTA update but so far the infotainment on this car is pretty lackluster.

I also have problems. I can park the car then run into a store for a quick errand and the right screen is either black for a while and completely reboots and I have to wait a few minutes before it is usable again. I also have the issue where the audio from apple car play does not work and I have to do the volume down/next track button reboot procedure to get the infotainment system to reboot. I think there is definitely some bugs in the software.

I just had my right side screen go blank. I had to turn the car completely off and back on a couple of times to get the screen back. The screen was slow to come up even then. I had a throttle that went completely dead on a road with no place to pull off to the side. I was almost rear ended on approx. 11/25/23. The shop kept it a week and could find nothing. The throttle went dead again briefly aug 26 this year. The safety of the car is beginning to concern me. I put a call in to the shop about an hour ago and waiting for a return call.

Doesn't it seem there are a lot of issues big and small in the 2024's? I have bought over a dozen new cars and have not had maybe 7 small issues compared to the Mustang's. Don't get me wrong, I am happy with mine and still learning all the features it has. Happy holiday Labour Day weekend sighned into Law 1894 both US and Canada.

PS, CEO Fords Jim Farley stated it's going to take years to fix our Quality Control. What the fxxk ? Maybe years, they might be the least selling auto company in the world by then. This year alone its cost over billions of dollars for warantee work alone!
