That update was still scheduled to try to install again. I went ahead and did a reset on the head unit and it looks like it canceled the update. I don't want it to overwrite the tune because I have E85 in the car right now and I'm not sure how the factory tune would handle E85.

Cool. I think I will try to do the updates. Ill just get the mongoose on amazon and I can return it within 30 days since I don't think I will have a regular need for it. It doesn't look too bad to do the updates after watching a couple videos on different people doing the updates themselves.

@rugedraw thanks! Looking at the video for the mach e update process, it looks like if not all updates listed in FDRS may be applicable to your particular car. How would I go to determine which updates are safe to update? Thank you!

I am not the expert, but I don't think that is the case. I think you will still get OTA updates.

I found a post on a forum on how to do it for the mach e. I am assuming the process is similar.

@roadpilot do you know of any kind of guide on how to do this? So I can get the basic process of how to do the update manually.

@BrianJ77 I believe they use ATT as the cellular network.

@rugedraw that is good to know. I won't worry as much about making sure the car always has a wifi connection.
