After waiting more than a year, with supply delays, the water incursion recall, and all that, I finally got my 2025 Dark Horse with the Handling Package that includes Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS tires. I read that those tires can’t be used in temperatures below 40 degrees, and going into winter, that is going to be a problem for me. I am not really happy that after waiting for one year, I now have to store the car for the winter. For this reason, I ordered a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires to replace the Pirellis, as I intend to drive in cold weather this winter. I do not intend to drive in rain, or snow, or even wet pavement, only on nice, sunny, but cold days, and I understand the Michelins are okay for that. The only decision I have to make now is whether to keep the Pirellis for those rare track days, maybe once per year, or sell them. They only have 200 miles on them, Not sure what the market for almost new Pirellis P Zero Trofeo RS tires with 200 miles is like. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to sell them? eBay seems problematic since shipping four huge tires across the country could get pretty impractical. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Are you talking about the MPS4 All Season tires or summer tires? The summer tires will have the same problem in the cold.

The PS4s you ordered can't be driven in this weather either.

The Trofeo RSs are just significantly softer and more susceptible to wear, but they're both high performance summer tires. If you want to drive this car in the winter, you'll need to get high performance all-seasons, as most winter tires will not provide a size that fits those rims.

I don't know enough about which alternative tire sizes - if any - will fit on a 10.5/11 inch rim, so don't use my advice as the truth, but based on the Michelin website the PS4 All-Seasons are not available in the correct size. You'll probably want to consider a secondary set of rims specifically for the winter.

if you want to drive in the cold then get the Pilot Spot All Season 4

the PS4S are just as useless in the cold as the trofeo

The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S have the following warning at TireRack:

Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.
Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Max Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage, tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.

Your zip code indicates PA. How cold does it get in PA, and how are you going to be storing your tires when the weather hits 20 degrees?

I know you did not ask about that. You asked what to do with the Pirellis. Keep them! They are great for the summer, and awe inspiring on the track. If you hit the track with them once, you are going to want to hit the track again. Once the weather warms up, and you put the Pirellis back on, a summer of driving and a couple/few track days and cold weather comes again in Pennsylvania, and the Pirellis will be all done and have passed on from this life. But you will have memories for a lifetime.

I went with 20” wheels with Mich PS AS 4, & kept stock DH HP wheels & Trofeos for summer. Happy camper so far. When Trofeos gone, not sure if I’ll go with PS4 summers & keep switching sets each year or go AS. Let’s see how it goes.

Go for the Nitto NT555 G2. They come in both the 305 and 315 size. Just swapped out the Trofero RS’ as well. Will use them whenever I go out to the track otherwise, for daily driving, the Nittos will be great.
