Great! Mine fits right in the middle of that timeline and I have a 3000 mile trip scheduled for the same time as the letter goes out.

Does anyone know if this recall will affect 2025 orders that have a build date for this month?

Yeah but production is starting in September and if the remedy isn’t until Q4 then I’m gonna be delayed a couple more months atleast. And I already sold my 14 for the down payment :( driving the hoopty thinking it would only be a month or 2
New Model Year production will start in November just like every other year

Oh okay. Some people have said they have scheduled dates for September already and my dealership told me in October

They won’t let you take delivery of it now and just bring it back when the remedy is available? That doesn’t even Makes sense to me. Especially if you’ve already started financing it you’re paying for a vehicle you can’t even touch, are they at least giving you a rental?
The finance is not for using the car, the finance is to give you money to buy the car.

Yeah that makes sense. Just sucks he’s already started the financing but the car is locked in jail

That's how money loans work. I think people should really educate themselves in financing before going that way.

Yeah I get that and maybe I just don’t exactly under how it works for pre approved financing or maybe it’s the fact that it’s a brand new car but for every used car I’ve ever financed we make the sale, head to the financing department and pick the keys up all in the same day

They are refusing to let me take delivery of it straight up. Until the remedy is applied which makes sense. Due to is being a safety issue. A rental is not needed this is my second car. I just really wanted to be able to drive it before the weather goes south here since I live in the Midwest. I am just completely SOL due to it being financed already man , this is so discouraging
That sucks! Especially since you financed it already. This makes me wonder if it falls under the Lemon Law. Most states say if the car is stuck at the dealer for more than 30 days, you have leverage to enact the lemon law. Whether it applies to recalls, that’s a gray area I don’t know.

But if you are pissed off enough, you can make some waves at the dealership, and if the car isn’t a special order, maybe have them find another one for you with similar specs and with a build date that you can take delivery of.

Ford taking your money for a car and then telling you, you can’t get in it for another 6 months, but you are still locked in to paying for it….that wouldn’t fly with me at all.

My car falls in the recall build date, yet I can still drive it…just because I already got it before the recall? Nobody coming to take it away from me. Ford is just worried about liability.

lol nobody here is questioning how financing works, I myself am just annoyed of this whole situation with the car just sitting there over a diode when I was supposed to have it already.

Interesting that it is a diode that is bad. Kind of hard to make a bad diode.

Those are used to prevent current from back feeding (flowing the wrong way).

Eh, I've seen them bad on fresh alternators before, shit happens when stuff is made in batches

It's not political, it's what has become of our nation!
Yes, understood, I’ll delete my post. But we import many products, some from countries that are not our allies. But that’s the way of the world. Global manufacturing. Would you prefer that there was no manual transmission in our Mustangs? Or no Mustangs at all? It is what it is. 👍
