Drives me crazy that the dealership near me refuses to just schedule me a time to check the specifics of this recall so I can go on my way.....they want me to drop it off in the morning for the day. If they would just check, it would be less than 30 mins for the scheduled time. If for some reason they determined that the clutch line needs replacing, then we could schedule a drop off. Service writer had not heard of this recall when I went in an asked about it. Such a PITA.

Kinda of a rough spot for the doc to send a concussive patient home to take a nap.

I got a letter about the 24S36 recall. I haven't called for an appointment yet, but my dealer always says they don't know how long it will take to fix recalls or what is involved. This was with my 2015. I have literally nobody to take me and go back to pick up the car. Seriously, how can they not know what's involved? Did I have the only 2015 in the area with the recall? It was the brake stop. They literally told me I couldn't wait on it. I finally told them I'd let somebody else worry about it. I was trading it in on the 2024. I'm not fond of dealers...

Seems some dealers may be (currently) dealing with a ‘software’ (system) event as well so um…..

If Uber and Lyft are not available, is your dealer offering home service? Ford is rolling that out now, for things like oil changes, routine maintenance and recall items. If they offer it and if you're within 20 mi / 32 km, this might be a nice option. Failing that, I've dealt with transportation issues in rural areas (if applicable). You'd be surprised who offers what. I found some services in other states before that were sweet.

Yea, I read about it earlier. I wonder how many are entering the dealers the last few days, only to be turned away.

They do, but I'm about half a mile outside of their 15 mile limit.

@sarahestelle I just checked the connector myself and mine is good. If dropping off the car is a challenge for you I would recommend to just check yours on your own. If it's good, move on and get it checked in the future when it's convenient. The recall information for the technician is on this thread. As for me, I'll wait to get the recall cleared until I have to take it in for something else more important. A recall where I can check and see my car is good is not a priority for me...unless it gets me the 6.3.2 update.

Thank you. I’ll do that.

The 24S36 Recall has been somewhat lost in this thread. However, I had made an appointment with my dealer for tomorrow (Thursday) as I was close to hitting 1,000 miles and ready for an oil & filter change.
I checked the clutch hose connection against the firewall and it appears solid.
I am ASSUMING that is all this recall is dealing with. Is this CORRECT?
They want me to leave the car with them all day to deal with the recall. I'd rather not. I can wait for the oil & filter change.
Appreciate some guidance here.

If it's snug and not coming off I think you can wait. I have not even thought about taking mine in. I checked it. It's good. Recall stays open, but whatever. I'll get it voided later. All day for a 5 minute check is ridiculous.
