FIRST

to the two members who assisted me via DM, all your info was spot on and the freebie parts worked as advertised.

You two deserve some good KARMA

SECOND

it appears this deflector doesn’t get installed by FOMOCO on convertibles because there are these frame brackets that are only used convertibles

So part # PR3Z6311778A is for coupes but can be cut down to use on a convertibles, see attached picture

any questions feel free to ask

Ordered mine today!

Did you have to cut a lot of deflector away! Were all mounting screws provided or did existing hardware work?

When I get home on Thursday, I’ll measure how much I cut off.

See attached pictures.

i took off about 14 inches initially.

cuts easily with a utility knife but a pair of tin snips would have worked too.

What is the purpose of this shield? Do the holes exist to screw in the shield on the rear bumper?

The word says it all. Shield. It protects the underbody from rocks and other stuff and also helps with better airflow.
