Has anyone got, or know where to get, a mat to cover the rear parcel shelf. I'd rather not do home made, I want it to look good and reduce reflections on the rear screen.

What is a rear parcel shelf? Are you speaking about the dash screens?

I think he means the back dash. The official term is parcel shelf. He's right about the nomenclature.

Way back when, the package shelf often held the baby of the family who managed to inhale all of the second hand cigarette smoke! Worse, everyone thought it was an okay practice.

I used to roll up and hide in my mother's split window VW. It wasn't flat, and you could put stuff in it.

Why not just tint your rear window Lou?
Tinted another car a few years ago, it bubbled after a couple of years. Put me off.
PS Funnily enough, I've never seen parcels on a parcel shelf. Have seen hats and nodding dogs though.
It should be nodding dog hat shelf.

Is tint not common in New Zealand? Proper tint and installation lasts for decades here in Arizona. The newer ceramic stuff cuts the heat drastically.

While, not everyone likes the look, I have found that aluminum louvers on the back glass are the best way to keep the sun off and does not hinder rear vision. Unfortunately, the use of carpeting on the tray makes it a bug trap at the base where it is almost impossible to clean. I have wondered if the material that they use on windows when wrapping a car could handle that much of an angle and still see through.

That could have ended up very embarrassing.

Hell yes, we don't have really high temps, but we do have super high UV.
I'll check out the ceramic tint though
