Now that I have a little over 1k on the car I have been opening it up. During hard acceleration the rear end gets loose and wiggly. I'm not breaking traction but it feels like that somewhat. Took my wife for a ride last evening and when I opened the throttle, it got squirrelly starting around 5k rpm, I had to back off, she asked what was happening. So its not just me. I've owned many high performance cars , C7, C5, 911S, Mach1 and never felt anything this.
Any thoughts.

Thanks

How's your alignment? Tire wear? Probably not an issue if you only have 1k on the car. Maybe check the pressures. Any mods so far?

Tire pressures good and no mods. The car tracks perfectly straight and I have not hit any big holes or bumps. This only happens during hard acceleration, passing though 2nd and third at about 5 to 6k rpm. It's smooth when gently increasing speed. I drove the car 550 miles from selling dealer and at 80-85 mph and it was steady. This has me perplexed. I don't live close to a freeway but maybe I need to experiment with on ramps.

Thanks for the imput.

Either its not right aka factory defect or you may need to look into sub frame lockouts, worthy upgrade.

What is a subframe lockout?

I was searching on here to see if anybody else was having a similar issue when I saw your post so I had to create an account so I could reply and just got approved lol. I’ve noticed mine has been doing that the last couple of days. I just hit 1900 miles and it just started doing it. My rear end feels like it’s doing the same thing but starts when I hit 30-40 mph. I don’t hammer on it or anything either. Yesterday, I saw on a forum where someone said theirs felt floaty and they were told to reduce the psi in the tires. Mine have been around 41 psi since I got it from the dealership (I’m assuming they were supposed to reduce the pressure before I drove it off the lot but they didn’t). I ended up reducing the psi yesterday in all 4 tires to 35 and this morning it drove fine and felt like it was sticking to the road better with no issue. Once it warmed up outside and I left work, it felt like it was doing it again and the rear end felt loose so I tried putting it in sport mode to see if that would help and it seemed like that made it worse so I drove 30 on the way home lol! I let my boyfriend drive it when he came over to see if he noticed anything and he said it felt fine so idk what it is. I’m going to let him drive it again when it warms up tomorrow so he can see what I’m talking about. I have the continental pro contact tires that came on it so I don’t think it’s the tires. Ughh

When you have a moment, check the placard in the door jam; this will list the PSI/BAR the tires should be set to. 41 psi / 2.81 bar was their shipping pressures when the car left the factory; yes, these were way to high. When cold in the AM, 35 psi / 2.4 bar still seems a bit much.

If you're using the Tire Pressure Management System screen to confirm pressures, it rounds the actual number, but should be within 1 psi of actual. If using a physical pen-style or some other gauge, confirm its accuracy by checking against another.

I know my EB is 32psi cold. They will rise as you drive/as they heat up. Don’t worry so much on what the psi is when they’re heated up unless they’re ridiculously high or if you’re tracking the car. Just make sure they’re at what the sticker on the door jam says or within 1psi of it when cold

Along with confirming the correct, cold pressures, check the wear of the tires themselves. It reads that you might have been operating at high pressures for some time. Do a visual review of the tread pattern, so see what they look like.

Being over-pressurized previously, you might see the center of the tire wearing more than the rest. Getting down to the specified pressures will help relieve wear on the center and generally flatten the pattern over time. As that happens, traction and drivability will continue to improove.

Just so I understand correctly, your car isn't losing traction. It just feels squirrelly at certain speeds and when getting on the throttle? Is just seems Randi and Gr8ful are manifesting the same problem but at different speeds and throttle inputs.

If your tires are at 40+psi cold, they will be 44 or more psi hot. That is above max pressure for the tire. Keep this in mind.

I think Randi said that she brought hers down to 35. Still a bit high in my opinion. Should probably be set at 32/33 cold.

Does TC control kick in when it happens?
