My wife was driving home from work the other day with the convertible top down and had an older guy (she figured late 60s or 70s) ask if she was looking for a husband. 😀 She said, no, my husband bought me this car. :)

Yeah he's better off trying to pick up the gals on foot. Worked for me :) Bonus points if they're dragging a suitcase; just don't plan on keeping them around unless your tolerance for BS is incredibly high.

Not sure about that. Most girls could outrun me easily now. Baggage or not.

Did they drop lane assist and adaptive cruise control for 2026? My 2025 6-speed has it and it will fight you to stay in lane.
The 26 convertible has lane assist. I believe the automatic has lane centering, is that true? The manual has adaptive cruise, no stop and start (obviously).

My 2021 GT with 6spd manual had adaptive cruise control with stop/start
Are you saying the 2026 does not?
This is from the owner's manual for 2026

"How Does Adaptive Cruise Control Work - Manual Transmission

Adaptive cruise control uses a radar sensor to adjust your vehicle speed to maintain a set gap between you and the vehicle in front of you in the same lane."

You think it's a con how it looks with the top up? I think it looks better with the top up than the fastback. I prefer the boxier look on general though, like the camaro and challenger, although it's all personal preference. I say leave the rounded parts for the European cars.

My only issue after a year with mine is that the passenger side quarter window now doesn’t close all the way. I have a service appointment to get it fixed next week. Other than that, its been an entirely great experience.

After working for a while, my 2020 Mustang had 1 rear window then the second fail to close without manual assistance for the last 1/2 inch of closure. Under warrantee Ford replaced both window regulators. When I traded it in, earlier this year, the passenger side rear window again required assistance to close completely. I had hoped Ford had fixed this issue for the new Mustang.

The 2026 (manual and convertible) has adaptive cruise control, so it slows/accelerates. No stop/start, I am not sure how that would work with a standard. Another thing I just noticed is that my 2020 had auto dimming mirror. The 2026 is more like a '66 chevy Belair I had in coledge, you have to reach up and flick the mirror angle.

2026 has adaptive cruise and lane assist, no lane centering. Not that I would condone it but, if you stick a 2 lb. ankle weight to the side of the steering wheel, the vehicle will stay in the center of the lane and not complain about your hands being off the wheel. Lane assist will wait until the vehicle is about to cross the solid line and bump the steering in the other direction, resulting in a divergent side to side oscillation requiring driver action.

Yes on adaptive cruise control it works but no stop start. In my '21 GT, I could change the adaptive cruise to "regular" cruise in the settings menu; not sure if the '26 has that ability. My car arrives next week, so I'll find out

My last car was a 22 Model 3 Performance. Autopilot would actually center in the lane and by the time I sold the car it was a really solid system.
my 24 GT has lane assist but it seems to mostly wait until I touch a line then hugs the damned line and makes recentering way harder than it should be. I shut that crap off after the first month and have never once considered turning it back on.

Pretty common issue. When putting the top up latch the hood with the windows down, then immediately unlatch it. Roll up the windows with the roof unlatched - less friction to overcome. Works almost every time. Some silicone lubricant doesn't hurt.

Molto bene! That worked and I can do that until I have it fixed properly.

Yes you can set cruise to regular. Congratulation on the new car.
