Finally got my scheduled build date - so working on a list of things to have ready for delivery day. Ceramic coating is selected. Screen protector is ordered. What are you doing to prepare for your Mustang’s arrival? Or what do you wish you did when your car first arrived?

Add the car to your insurance policy (assuming you have the VIN) and make sure you have your home garage parking space cleaned and empty.

Where did you get the screen protector from?

Honestly I would be ready to thoroughly inspect it and make sure it is 100% to your liking in terms of paint quality and panel alignment. While some issues don't present themselves until after you've accepted the car, the visual things are important to try and catch early if you don't want the hassle of dealing with the dealer about them later on.

I'd also make sure to be stocked up on whatever car care products you like to use, be ready to contact insurance, and find a safe place to keep the car. Some of us have to keep them in the driveway, but there are still things like car covers and security lighting that can be helpful.

Also, decide how you want to celebrate! I can't speak for everyone, but I drove my last Mustang for 18 years, so getting a new one was a huge deal and I really wanted to mark the occasion with a celebration.

Thank you! Love the celebration idea! I currently drive my 1999 Mustang GT convertible that I bought new. I have absolutely loved that car - so hoping the 2024 replacement does not disappoint!

Order rock guards and put them on at the dealership. I bought the ones from Jaeger Bros and they go on seconds.

So you would say the rock guards (mud flaps) are really beneficial? Do you have any pics of yours after you installed them?

Anyone else here installing rock guards on their Mustang?

100% yes! Before I got them every time I drove around even on paved roads only I acquired new chips in the paint. These seem to mitigating that a lot. The first 2 pics are the front and the last 2 are the rear.

Edit: The best part is there is no drilling required. They simply slide into place. Make sure to remove them when you wash your Mustang and then put them back on. Super easy and worth the investment. Congrats on your new pony!

Just a few more questions if you would. I see in your edit you mention making sure to remove the rock guards when you wash the car. I'm curious if you notice them getting not as snug the more you take them on and off? I have no idea if that's the case but I'm curious if you notice anything like that or if even a big pothole could possibly jar them lose?

Also wondering if you did anything to cover the hole in the front wheel wells that's located behind the tire?
