I hear ya. I wanted a “spare” that j could at least drive a decent distance since I’m about to go on a loooong trip, didn’t have a spare and didn’t want to be stuck on a highway somewhere doing 50mph. Couldn’t find any 42.5 except for actual factor wheels which were 400-500$ online and $800 from...
I have a full sized spare that is 0.5mm (43) different from the wheels on the car (42.5). Let’s say my wheel god wrecked.. could i use the spare as a permanent swap? Would that .5 difference (42.5 on one side and 43 on the other) do any damage in the long term (diff, tire wear, handling etc)?
Anyone have a spray coating they use to help prevent rust on the components in the wheel well? Also.. is it safe for me to remove the wheel for cleaning, and just put it back on (sticking to the manu torque recommendation).?
Iv got a base gt, nite pony wheels 19x8.5, 255/40R19. I bought the 6piston brembos without the pp. I’m guessing that the wheel is the same with the brembos and without the brembos (the wheel on fords mustang builder didn’t change)
I want a spare full sized tire, but I’m not sure of the offset...
Yeah.. I’m okay with that.. and the extra weight too. I do a shitload of driving and it’s worth it not to get hung up while the car is in a shop, or waiting for a tire/rim to come in. It’s happened before with my current car (ran over a brick on the highway) and ended up being a real pain...
I need a spare tire.
I got a base gt, nite pony and upgraded brembos. This combo did not come with a spare tire. The wheels are 19x8.5 and 255 40/R19
1. Does anyone know if a mini/donut is even available for this? I can’t seem to find anything from ford.
2. If i just got a full sized...
Ah ok. I didn’t t know i could put the topper on top of wax!! The responses here are great. I’ll use the tw/topper when the car arrives and take a few months to see if i want to still commit to a proper cc at the time. It’ll have to get a paint correction anyway.
Yes. Iv been back and forth about it.. but i think this is what I’ll do initially,, and take some time to think about it more.. depending on how the car looks etc. And if i change my mind down the line.. i can always get the proper paint correction and cc done. Thanks.. everyone has been super...
thanks. Specifically what ceramic coating did you use? And also.. how was the gloss/shine with the tw vs a paint correction and ceramic coat? Very noticeable, or only if you’re looking for it? I care about the protection.. but applying a spray every few months i think would be adequate. But...
Yes.. totally helps.
1. I’m not doing it myself
2. Since it’s gonna need paint correction anyway, I’ll just wait a few months so factory paint is properly cured before getting it coated.
3. maintenance will be easy
