Power seats base GT.

Hello all,

Have a question that maybe someone can help answer. So to my surprise when I picked up my Mustang yesterday it did not have power seats. Honestly this was my mistake as I figured premium would just add leather, heated seats, etc, but at a minimum power seats would be standard. Well now that I have the car I am wondering if there is a way to upgrade to power seats. Anybody has experience upgrading their seats or know if this is even possible?

Hello. Seems like you got Base GT with 300A. No power seat. 301A include 6-way power driver seat, plus 2-way power lumbar support. Only driver side. And the seats will be partial vinyl. Now I do not know what happens if you add optional Recaro seats. I guess no power, and for sure no heated seats. 301A also adds heated front seats.

If I was to buy this seat online would it be able to connect to my GT or because I got the 300A there is no option to do so? Referring more to electrical connection/support for the seats.

I have no idea if you can retrofit 301A seats.

you would need to pull out your drivers and Pass. seats and look and see if there are connectors..

I had the front seats out reupholstered them. There are a few unused connections i have a base 300a

I will once i vacuum it. I used iggee seat covers. Made some mods to adjust for adding some foam and little tweaks not necessary just personal preference. But they look great out of the box and are highly recommended.

Planing on it but from prior experience chatting with ford is pretty useless. :(

Yea this is what I don’t know. Not a big deal but sucks it’s not something standard on a 50k car.

not sure why Ford did this. My 2018 Camaro 1LE with Recaros had both power AND heated seats.

Came in a 1SS- as well as a 2SS. Yes. Mine was a 1SS. Only option was 1LE Performance Package…

it included everything from suede steering wheel to active exhaust Recaros and even Magneride. Was an absolute bargain at $43k

regardless, my comment was more about the frustration of Ford not adding power and heat to their Recaros- even on an $80k dark horse
