I'm not sure what "ghetto things" means to you, but then again, I don't want to know. In any event, applying a matte plastic coating to a small, shiny area of the dash is fundamentally no different than tacking on a small piece of felt, and probably would look better.
Rattle canning Plasti Dip on the interior of your new 50k car is the very definition of ghetto. And I dont get the impression the OP will want to remove the dash to prep the surface and spray it correctly.

Honestly im not a fan of either. But At least a quality dash cover will look clean and not like a cheap garage hack when that plasti dip eventualy starts to scratch and peel.

I still vote for sungless 😎.

If the sun is out I am wearing polarized sunglasses while driving, and I have never noticed any issues with glare.
