Rattle canning Plasti Dip on the interior of your new 50k car is the very definition of ghetto. And I dont get the impression the OP will want to remove the dash to prep the surface and spray it correctly.I'm not sure what "ghetto things" means to you, but then again, I don't want to know. In any event, applying a matte plastic coating to a small, shiny area of the dash is fundamentally no different than tacking on a small piece of felt, and probably would look better.
Honestly im not a fan of either. But At least a quality dash cover will look clean and not like a cheap garage hack when that plasti dip eventualy starts to scratch and peel.
