For what it's worth, my reason for getting a solution was more to do with when I'm *not* driving, like dropping off kids, waiting for kids class, etc. Yes, obviously watching TV while driving is not a great idea.

For just sitting there, it might actually be the cheapest and most practical to just bring a laptop and use that. Isn't that basically with cops do with their computers directly wired to the batteries? If you want internet, you could make your phone a hotspot and connect your laptop to it that way. If concerned about power and you don't want to hard wire it, you could just get a power inverter like this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QPS15YK

While I can only speak for a handful of states that I am specifically aware of: As long as you don't break traction (e.g., do a burnout, which is considered reckless driving in most states), there are no maximum or minimum time limits associated with a speeding violation. If the prima facie speed limit is 60 MPH, it doesn't matter how fast you get there as long as you remain in control of your motor vehicle and do not exceed 60 MPH.
I got ticketed years ago for taking off fast, didn't break traction, the ticket was for exhibition of speed. I lived in Ft. Lauderdale at the time.

I have a 10" tablet style radio in my Jeep. I love it. Works great with maps/music. I don't watch movies on it but I will pull up youtube podcasts while I'm driving or play music videos. If I'm parked I might check out my Facebook/instagram hoes and see what dem titties are doing.

FWIW: It’s just as distracting trying to look at the damn screen going through sub menus just to adjust the air conditioning or changing the radio station. I’m still trying to get used to that.

In my 06 GT, I had these wonderful things called ’knobs” which allowed me to adjust these things without taking my eyes off the road.

Some of the more thought out modern cars have tactile buttons and knobs that can be used as well instead of the touchscreen. Some think these touch screens are just a fad, but think how much the automakers save by not having to make and install real switchgear.
