Parking Lights flash when a door is opened or closed.

It looks like the front parking lights are sending a code every time I open or close the driver side door.
I have the welcome lighting disabled. And the auto headlights are set to off. It's just the front parking lights that blink like a code.
Is this normal?

We just got the Mustang, so we are still learning.

Double check the settings. My car picks it's own settings often.
