I think I saw that the 2026 order banks closed and now 2027. Scheduling done in August would be for builds in October, so 2027’s make sense.

Doesnt change a whole lot, as long as nothings changed between 26 & 27?
It will be months & months before this toyota thing is resolved, & im not looking to do anything hasty....
Comes down to it, sure theres plenty of 26's out there close enough.....

Same to assuming no major change between a 26 vs 27?

That makes sense now. I submitted my 26 build to a local dealership asking for a quote but they would not provide me with a quote. They told me they had the exact same car on their lot but they really didn't. I guess that was their way of avoiding giving me a quote.

Anyone feel the headlights are lacking & wish they were brighter?
Thats where the tacoma does well, they bright & theyre very white / blue, no warm hue at all....
Anyone running additional fogs?
I see diode dynamics makes multiple kits but kind of costly,
I get you get what you pay for.

Ive tinted the entire windshield on all my vehicles 30% so just trying to confirm lighting isnt lacking.

No.

In both of my cars I frequently get flashed late at night as a not-so-friendly request to turn my high beams off. I can only imagine that the exact words "Car headlights nowadays are too damn bright!" are what run through their heads when I flash mine back to tell them my high beams are in fact off.

Any brighter than they are now, and we'll all collectively start seeing citizens' arrests being made for no other reason than sensitive eyes.

I find the headlights to be plenty bright... a tinted windshield may be your only problem...

So I drove a few cars today.
A base gt with 255/40/19, auto, 3.15
Then a performance package, manual, 3.73

I was smart enough to flounder & found the AE track setting, but did bother with the various driving modes.

Cant say the manual performance factor handling aspects or even acceleration wowed me over the auto base model.

The base model did seem a little, not sure how to describe it, floaty? oversteer?
Not sure if it was maybe the tire size, but they both had 255/40/19 up front.

The auto did feel better to me than the stick.
Observation, got on the freeway with the auto 3.15 & hit 60mph, maybe bit over & RPMS were under 2k rpm....
No idea where it would be with the 3.55s....

The base would feel "floaty" compared to the PP due to some of the upgrades included in the package, listed below. Some of what I made bold have more effect to the feel than others

I think it comes down to the actual tires used... I just picked up a 25 with the 255/40R19 Continental Pro Contact tires... and I don't like them. They are more of a touring tire, not a performance tire... I may replace them right away with DWS06 tires. The PP car has PZeros... I also have a PP car and just let go of the base model S550 with same size DWS06s. Have driven a combo of different mustangs with PZeros, DWS06s and pilot sport AS tires, and even a base model car feels more planted with any of those compared to the ones that came on the newest S650.

Yeah, cant say I paid attention to the tire brand & series at all.
Just know the PP had 255/275 & base had 255's.
Base 255's look really narrow in the rear....
Again, im 54, not looking to rod this thing.....

Glad you test drove, that helps a lot.
Your observations seem accurate to what I experienced.
It has been more than a year since I test drove them, but I recall the 3.55s being about 1k higher at cruising speed. Which is why the gas mileage is less.
You would want to drive them back-to-back, to determine if the extra grunt at the low end is worth it. As I mentioned, the 3.55 in the base is not the TORSEN, like it is in the PP. You can read up on the TORSEN, to determine if its pros & cons are worth it.

RPMs only slightly higher in 3.55 around 2.1k -2.2k. 3.15 to 3.55 is not as dramatic as say 2.73 to 4.10, it’s just a little more punchy but the rpm difference at cruise is minimal. When researching this I found a chart somewhere at rpm’s for each speed at it’s really only around 100-200 at most
