Mustang owners spend THOUSANDS on accessories, performance upgrades, wheels, finish coatings etc etc - you can pick up a 6000 lb Quick Jack for about 1500 bucks or less if you shop around.
Black Friday deal?

See, I think if I was going to justify buying one, I'd get the 8000lb model so I could use it to work on other peoples cars (and my SUV etc as well)
My 6000# lift raises my Mustang, wife's Lexus, daughters Highlander and Camry - EASILY. My '24 F-250 already sits pretty high, so I do use a drive on ramp for the oil changes on it, but I do have the lift extensions and it lifts the truck just fine - albeit, not a full lift, due to garage ceiling height, but great for wheel end work / tire rotations.

If my driveway were flat/level I would purchase one of these in a minute however my driveway has a slight slope to it so I don't think this would work for me. :crying:

Don't do what I did and think a 10 litre pan would be OK. It filled to a mm from the top.
Every tried to slide out an oil pan without sloshing?

Does that have enough access to drop the trans to do the clutch?

Can you drop the front K member or is it not high enough?

Those look tempting but expensive for oil changes and tire rotations
The QuickJack set up is nice. I can almost sit up while under the car at their full height and I have done oil changes, tire changes, exhaust replacement, MGW shifter install, and suspension (full) replacement with the QuickJack. I can't say for sure though on the K-Member if you are bringing everything down with it. Should be able to swap a clutch....should.

I found this at Summit Racing, to give an idea of what I'm looking at: Dorman 95-1371 Dorman Drain Pans | Summit Racing
Do you folks not find that these kind of pans cause a lot of splashing and make a mess? Instead, I have one like this: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/lil-17972?rrec=true

Yes, you have to be more careful, but I don't transport the oil in it, instead, I pour it into old 5 qt. containers and use those to take it to recycling.

... does anyone have a good quality set of ramps high enough to crawl under the car to drain the oil that I could look into? I know the ramps need to have a long gradual slope to clear the chin spoiler.
Don't cheap out on ramps!

I bought a very nice set many years ago that are too steep for the Mustang, so I use 2x4s to build a ramp ramp so that the chin can clear. Yeah, it's a pain. If i had to do it all over again, I'd get these race ramps mentioned here. I suspect that they weren't available way back when before electricity when I bought mine.

Thanks so much gentleman,,, for the response on the race ramps! They'er pretty pricey but I think that's the best solution for me. Skye, thanks for the pics. You sold me! What size are those that you have? Their web site has many options. I appreciate your input!
