We got an excellent look at two 2024 Mustang Convertible prototypes in what appears to be the new Vapor Blue hue.

Both Mustangs have the EcoBoost front end, and are equipped with quad exhaust. They have the same wheel design, but one of the Mustangs has the wheels and the Mustang logo finished in black. The other Mustang prototype has a chrome/silver grille-mounted Mustang badge with wheels painted in a brighter titanium-look finish. There are also Brembo brake calipers painted blue.

These two photos fully redeem any second guesses I was having on vapor blue from the ford authority shots.
It’s probably one of those paint jobs that depends on lighting and cleanliness to pop

Guard Green looked like dog water if it had a coat of dust on it and/or was shot in overcast weather, but would look like DHG 2.0 if it was clean and shot under a blue sky

I'm going to have to start working dog water into some more conversation outside of here now. Haven't heard that one in a bit

Dark Highland Green. In certain lighting it was the closest thing you could get to an imitation dark green, but Guard was way less saturated and had a cooler tint to it with some faint blue. But if you see one that’s dirty or if it’s overcast it just looks like a dumpy shade of grey. It really was all over the place.

Ironically the S550 Bullitt rocks DHG but it definitely doesn’t look like the older DHGs; it’s way bluer. Not a huge fan of the change.

Basically, I'm not surprised, it's a tweaked, more metallic version of Area 51 and that color is the same way. With crappy lighting, it's not great, but under a lot of conditions, it's a knock out.
