If nothing else, I would treat the info in our database as pessimistic. It relies on us to update the info and those updates only show progress. So at any given time our database is lagging what is presently happening.

As far as insiders go, does it really matter? There's not a lot of movement even for those who are leading the race. Thankfully we have seen someone on here get his DH. Like a carrot from Ford to help string the rest of us along. Same as knowing your slot machine is just about to hit.

FWIW, I'm no insider. I even told the dealer I was in no hurry since I was trying to save up for the down payment and would be happy to wait a year for the car. Order placed 08APR and the car is now sitting at the New Boston 5M railhead - since 30AUG. I expect it will take at least another week before it actually arrives at my dealer, considering all the stops. Still, it just goes to show how the ways of Ford are mysterious indeed.

On a separate note...

Anyone else notice the Dark Horse does not feature a single "FORD" badge anywhere? In fact, other than the subdued pony on the front grille, there are no exterior markings to proclaim this is even a Mustang.

Not sure if the styling department did this on purpose as a kind of click bait to goad people into asking "what car is that?"

This presents a unique opportunity to mess with people, if you have the same weird sense of humor as I. All kinds of funny/cringy responses come to mind, and I plan to cycle though them to observe reactions:
- New Camaro, special Apocalypse Horseman edition
- Mazda RX-9, B&S rotary engine
- Ferrari, they changed the prancing horse (il cavallino rampante) for a meaner one
- Kuaican (Chinese translation: "fast food"), the 1st Chinese sports car ever imported to the US, bought and sold at Wal-Mart.
