I get heat from my GT in about a minute when the temp is 20 f out. It seems perfectly adequate to me.With respect to the headlights: I've never noticed any delay or failure when in the automatic mode. Seems to me it just works.
I do wonder if the (available) heat is as quick on a GT as it is the Eco-Boost? My first Mustang (1979 Turbo) was blowing hot air in less than 1/2 a mile. My 2024 Eco-Boost takes about 5 minutes, regardless of ambient. Thankfully, the steering wheel and seats work very quickly.
The fastest non-EV for heat Iāve driven was my GTI. It had a liquid cooled exhaust manifold and it was maybe 30 seconds before it started blowing the heat At 20f. It was glorious.
