With respect to the headlights: I've never noticed any delay or failure when in the automatic mode. Seems to me it just works.

I do wonder if the (available) heat is as quick on a GT as it is the Eco-Boost? My first Mustang (1979 Turbo) was blowing hot air in less than 1/2 a mile. My 2024 Eco-Boost takes about 5 minutes, regardless of ambient. Thankfully, the steering wheel and seats work very quickly.
I get heat from my GT in about a minute when the temp is 20 f out. It seems perfectly adequate to me.

The fastest non-EV for heat I’ve driven was my GTI. It had a liquid cooled exhaust manifold and it was maybe 30 seconds before it started blowing the heat At 20f. It was glorious.

No. I said Ford auto-hi-beams suck compared to Toyota's. Meaning, since you asked, Ford's system acts like it's asleep and reacts slow both ways. Toyota's system is fast and works exactly where I would were their system not there. Just my experience. Not life or death though.
i've only had one Toyota rental in the last ... 5-ish years, but I found it no better or worse than my '17 Rap, '24 MDH and wife's '20 Lincoln. Maybe newer ones are more instant? That's not always a good thing. Ford's system at least is programmed conservatively for sure, I get high beams dimmed sometimes from road sign flash back, or a lighted sign in the distance that the system probably thinks could be an oncoming vehicle, and I find that the high beams are quick to drop to low, almost always quicker than the oncoming vehicles. I've not tried to identify which oncoming vehicles react as fast as my cars & trucks.

It will be interesting to see some AI help programmed into this functionality.

Good idea on the AI @smurfslayer That would be very interesting to see what they could do with it. Automatic brights isn't a big deal in the scope of things. Worst case, I just use the stalk to change them either way. I still want my friends Chevelle, stripped but for the 396, stock and stripped except for a four on the floor and a radio. No AC either. Things were different back in the day. Just sayin'.

Speaking of burning rubber.... Some asian crotch rocket owner about these parts has a set of smoke tires; one is blue and one in red. That is a sure-fire way to get cited, but it still is comical in a wry way.

2020 F150 4x4 Limited. 2024 GT Mustang Premium. Both in Rapid Red.
In what way?

My observation is that the Fords and Lincolns are the first to dim and last to activate. Are you saying that all the high beaming folks whose modern cars dim seconds later are Toyota drivers ;-)?
My Auto-Dim works very quick.
The same with our 2020 F-150 Limited.
I don’t seem to have the late pause as yours.
Maybe something is obstructing the view?

Ok, coming from a 2016 m235i vert to a '24 GT vert:
* Windshield sprayer nozzles are worse than pathetic, borderline dangerous
* Lack of front proximity sensors is beyond puzzling
* Rear seats don't fold
* Infotainment/cluster that randomly greys out options 🤣
* Rear seat ingress/egress, just weirdly "difficult"
* Manual roof latch... Silly

Of course being the best sound generator on wheels makes up for most sins 😊

We have 2x Fords and one Lincoln. They all behave this way. We have a lot of hills so they get a bunch of work dimming an reengaging high beams.
