NYIAS: Dark Horse Mustang (Blue Ember) & Engine Bay FIRST Look + 2024 Mustang GT Convertible

Here are some photos we took at the 2023 New York International Auto Show.

Unfortunately, there were no Dark Horse press rides being held at the Javitz Center. They were being done offsite at another location organized by the Manhattan Car Club, not through Ford directly. We were told it was invite-only with very limited spaces.

Am I the only one who is annoyed that they are not allowing photos of the engine bay? Half the fun of owning something like a Mustang is standing around with your buddies looking at the engine.

If they haven’t worked out the details on that yet, we may all be in trouble. /s

Thanks for the pictures! There is the silver dark horse badge again.... is it black or silver on the production car?! And the wheels look like a lighter color than the white car as well. Guess we will find out.

Also blue ember is only available on the 700A, and these arent recaros, so these are the 700A dark horse seats, the best pictures we have seen.

im like 90% sure it only looks silver because of how bright the stage lighting is on it (just look at the black bumper trim), itll probably look more black under natural lighting.

I have been looking at pictures since September, and this looks silver to me

By contrast, all of the other colors we have seen have black badges

There have been some closer up pictures, but i dont have them saved. I dont see how the one on the blue ember car is black. Maybe is is the lighting...just cant tell

Blue ember is only available on the 700A, and these arent recaros, so these are the 700A dark horse seats, the best pictures we have seen.

Was going to say the same. Finally get to see the seats I'll be getting and they look very nice!

like i said, its the lighting notice how the bumper trim on the white one is the same black as the horse logo on its side?

now take a look at the bumper trim for the one under the stage lighting:

you take that car out of the stage lighting and into the street and all of that "silver" is going to look more black

I agree looks silver, so I think the blue ember is getting silver badges and silverish wheels

They just popped the hood! Will post engine bay photos soon. The strut tower brace does indeed say Dark Horse.

I'd say it is more gray with a reflective quality depending on the lighting. It will definitely look more dark gray, almost black, in the shadow and poor lighting conditions. You can see a bit of that on the side of the badge in the image below. Impossible to capture this in natural lighting with the extreme showroom lights.

i imagine in natural day light it will look like the rear badge that we see on the white DH in the other NYIAS post. it might look a little brighter on the ember blue but i would chalk that up to contrast differences between the two base colors

If I were to order a new Mustang Dark Horse it would be equipped with Handling Package, TREMEC , Handling & Appearance package(that Blue Ember changers colors like the Mystichrome paint)
