Yes, but the stock air filter doesn't have an open top and this one does. If you had removed the top from the stock filter and left the hood open then that would have been fair. This way it just looks like you are trying skew your numbers. That's not very honest of a test.

I understand what you're saying but don't fully agree as I've done plenty of dyno testing on these cars with and without lids on the stock intake and there were no gains or losses between running them with or without the lids. Not sure what else to say other than we tried and are sorry we didn't meet your standards on how the testing should have been done.

It's not "his standards". I agree It seems pretty illogical to compare numbers with the hood up since the Whipple boxes are open and the factory ones are not. If your personal experience says otherwise, then great. But given the price point of the product, I'd like to see more than "trust me".

I think/hope pretty much everyone knows the CAI's are a complete waste of $ rip off unless you tune for the extra air flow of larger diameter tube. For stock, just pull the traps and put on high flow filters and you are at the same as this aftermarket CAI... That's a fact jack!
Otherwise show me real data comparing aftermarket and stock with these modifications! Weird nobody does that... hmmmm deception maybe??

I'm with you. That's why I was curious to see the actual dyno test backing up these numbers. Unfortunately I think the results are skewed.

Nothing was skewed. I personally drove the car down to PBD and it was strapped to the dyno while still hot. Made a few baseline pulls and then installed the intake. Ran it again and then we loaded the Whipple calibration. Ran it again and those are the results. Pretty simple stuff here. Not sure why it's being overly criticized and being called deceptive. Can't please everyone I guess.

Here's our recent Dark Horse dyno runs. Wonder if any of this comes across as deceptive too?

I'm not a rocket scientist by any stretch of the imagination, but it seems to me that if the top of the air box is open, it's going to pull in more air with the hood open. You could always humor us by doing the dyno pulls with the hood closed.

These cars with the factory intake won't make any difference in power with or without the lids with the hood open. I did the dyno testing myself back in August of 2023 before cars even hit the lots.

Did you do any tests with carbon traps removed and high flow filters installed for comparison?
Seems to me this would show if there is any difference having g larger intake tubes

We didn't remove the carbon traps as this was a pre production car loaned out for testing and couldn't be returned to them all hacked up.

We tested the car with the hood open on all runs. Stock intake lids on, stock intake lids off, stock intake filters removed and the stock intake with filters removed and venturis installed in the air box where the filters attach to the intake tubes.

There was no difference in power on all of the runs.

Got it, So carbon traps removed and high flow filters installed will probably yield the same power as a CAI with hood closed on a stock car.
