Hello everyone. My name is Tom but my new user name will be GT25. I purchased my first mustang in April 1964 after being discharged from the army. It was canary yellow and straight shift. Although it was purchased in 1964 it was titled as as a 1965 model but was know as 1964 1/2. Now, 60 years later, I have purchased a new 2025 Ecoboost hard top and a 2025 GT Premium Convertible. Look forward to hearing from other mustang owners and if anyone else had pleasure of purchasing one in 1964.

Welcome and I think you will love your GT convertible. This spring I went from a 22 Ecoboost premium convertible to a 25 GT premium convertible. I really liked my Ecoboost and put 48k fun miles on her, but I decided I wanted a V8, so ordered it the way I wanted. If my 22 had been a GT I would still be smiling from behind that wheel. It was Rapid Red. 25 is Molten Magenta. Look forward to seeing pictures of your’s.

Hey Tom congrats on the new vehicles - would love to hear your thoughts on how the new car compares to your original ‘64!

Welcome to the asylum. You'll learn some things here.

I had a 1966 I bought used a long time ago. I think the only option on it was the radio. It was a great car but no comparison at all to my 2025 except both have long hoods and both are comfortable. I'm on my fourth Mustang and third GT. All have been comfortable. 🤣

Thanks for reaching out to me as a new member. My original '64 mustang had a 289 with a 4 speed in floor. I couldn't afford a/c. I had radio with a heater and that was all. As to my '25 GT I am still trying to learn all controls. My original cost less than $3000 as it was the hard top. A convertible was priced at approx. $4000. Again good to hear from you. tom

Welcome and congrats on your new stable!

My only early Mustang XP was nearly being killed in a '65 'vert (about '71 or '72) that my buddy was driving; trying to keep up with a "Vette on a curvy road as we were leaving the Gratten MI road course. He saved it/us! 👍

When I first drove my 64 1/2 people would stop me and ask who was building cars like this.

Welcome to the forum! Our '26 GT convertible is on order and was built this past Monday. The 3 car's I've owned were all V8s: '55 Chevy Bel Air, '87 Camaro IROC-Z, and '05 Pontiac GTO. The Mustang is my wife's car.

Is your 2005 Goat a DD or a weekend cruiser? I also have an 05 GTO from new and still enjoy that car. Don't see them very often on the road.
