Can anyone identify this trim piece I found in the trunk of my new 2025 Mustang GT? I have not found any obvious trim missing in the car.

Thanks everyone. I can’t find any trim missing in my car, so I’ll have to believe that there is a new Mustang running around without its B-pillar trim.

They just saw your nickname on this forum is HerbB, so they gave you an extra B pillar.

Interesting that you found it in the trunk. So intern b pulled 5 pieces and tossed one too many into the storage bin (trunk) for the assembly bot to use when called for? Kinda helps soothe the mystery feeling one gets when finding that spare christmas tree peg bouncing around the trunk.

It looks like a beauty cover trim piece used on a convertible, when the top is down.

But Ford stopped giving those in the ragtop package as the reinforcing ribs on the underside rubbed against the roof fabric when the top was stowed resulting in warranty claims for roof replacements.

The trim from the 550's fits, I got mine from @LevittownFordParts and only put them on when I am as show and shine type events
