Ford Teases Mystery Mustang Racing Vehicle

Today, Ford released an infographic while announcing the company's return to Formula 1 racing. One of the images under the headline "Racing Mustang" shows the shadowy silhouette of a mystery Mustang performance vehicle with the words "Coming Soon" in the image.

The other silhouettes hint at an electric F-150 Lightning performance concept and the newly released Ranger Raptor.

Ford spokesperson Emma Berg wouldn't comment on future product but indicated that EV demonstrators are a key component of Ford's changing motorsports strategy. "Just like E-Transit Supervan and Mach-E 1400, we'll continue to introduce more that show how exciting electric vehicles can be."

Be it ICE or electric it's really great to see Ford growing its interest in racing. It may not be the old "race on Sunday, sell on Monday" adage but it still works for us Mustang owners.

My SIL is a stunt driver and he uses old worn Mustang bodies for drift racing than new ones (cheaper).
