Its not even that crazy of a story. Ya put the foot in and it tried kicking out on you.
Also keep in mind, a lot of accidents happen in automatic mustang for this reason.
When the wheels are spinning, sometimes the car upshifts and the rear gains traction. That traction gain can also send the car into a wall, since now the rears want to follow the fronts into whichever direction they're pointing.
