Mustang Sales Surged 22% in Q2 2026

All I know is this...there's a very disappointed buyer in Florida who did not get a new 2026 ECO BOOST on Friday afternoon 7/3 because of a stop sale. And that's a fact.
Maybe on Monday morning FORD will clarify the issue.

I ordered a 2026 Mustang Dark horse on June 23rd locking in employee pricing. Hopefully there's no major delay in the build as you have anticipated?

Don't be shocked if you don't get it. Its supposed to be from dealer stock, not orders. They can't lock it into Vincent yet, you don't even have an invoice at this stage. It would have to be tagged built by July 6th or soon after to qualify in a back end way, maybe within the month of July. I'm sitting on the sames scenario with an order from April, and in production last week. I hope I get A plan, but I doubt it.

In other news, related to the post, the Blue Cruise at 12 million hours has got to be a fib. BC doesn't cover that much roadway or possibly have that many users. Maybe BC is recording in the background when not in use.

Previously, I posted one recall/stop sale notice on Ford's EcoBoost. This recall involved a ball plug in the cylinder head. Ford recall 25SD3.

I've identified another recall/stop sale issue, also with the EcoBoost, also with 2026 models. NHTSA campaign 26V205, Ford recall 26S23.

This recall involves piston circlips. You may better know the circlip as a "C-clip". This is the clip that keeps the connecting rod pin and piston attached to the connecting rod. Improper installation of the clips will result in a pin that wanders, scaring the cylinder wall and destroying the engine.

The fix for recall 25SD3 is replacement of the cylinder head.

The fix for recall 26S23 is inspection and possible replacement of the engine.
