When the 2005 model was proposed, then Chairman Bill Ford said people want to buy a classic styled Mustang that only cost $20K. Now with the new 2024 Mustang the only things classic about it, will be a long hood; sloping windshield, and tri-bar taillights. Everything else will have a modern touch to it and will cost over $30K.
true, but I think the retro style was the right move at that time. The market was ripe for it. Not so much today. A modern design with the defining pony car elements youdescribe are likely the order of the day in 2024.

styles are funny like that. Whether it cars, clothing, music, graphic design, etc. a style can be all the rage and then no one wants it. 10 - 20 years later, it’s fire again.

The headlights look like a mach -E and hood looks like a 15 to 17 mustang hood with a new 6 gen camaro 19 to 22 Heat extractor. Interesting.

How true, I firmly believe the next round of retro designs will be 80s and 90s inspired.

I'm going to guess the vents are there and probably not functional except on high end models. Ford said they are going GT3/GT4 racing and airflow thru the wheel wells is key. Look at the just released Porsche 911 GT3 RS, all about airflow, downforce, cooling -
