Missing 2026 content

Have a 2026 GT Premium on order to replace my surging/booming 2024 (automatic). Not happy to find out the following have been discontinued for 2026: Universal garage door opener, illuminated door sill plates, phone charger (gone in 2025), and convertible decklid spoiler. I can see making some of those optional, but not available at all?

Booming sound, similar to subwoofer, especially when on an uphill grade. Often accompanied by transmission surging (A10). Dealer unable to fix, and little-to-no support from Ford.

Wow, so yours had that problem when you let off gas from acceleration it continues to lurch forward?

No, booming/surging while accelerating or maintaining speed on an uphill grade.

Yep they de-contented some options on the 2026 ... I knew that before I bought mine, and it made no difference .... my garage door opener works better than Homelink ever did on my F-250. Much better range.

Lot so of posts here about how crappy the built in phone charger was .... I added a Q1 charger for 20 bucks, no heat and fast charging on my Samsung.

The glasses cubby was discontinued on my convertible - 5 bucks

You can buy the sunvisor with the garage door built into it. Its plug and play into the the normal one, it just uses the lights power plug. I don't think they have changed them on the 26.

As long it's the same color, you can probably switch the driver side visors from your old to your new car as long as it still has the power feed for the LED's in the mirror. My 2024 didn't come with one, so I bought a homelink visor on ebay from a totaled out car with the same interior color.

Lets see. The garage door opener I use every single day multiple times. Its great.
The Illuminated door sill plates are really cool. I especially love that you can change the color.
The phone charger pad is literal garbage. It basically just cooks my phone and barely charges it.
I like the decklid spoiler, but I’d rather have a proper spoiler. The wedge is just too subtle for my tastes.

They also pulled the B&O system from the 401A package, and they raised the price of most add ons by double digit %s.

did you notice the rear view mirror on some trims is a 1965 flip for night use one, not the self dimming one we got in previous years?

Stiching on the knee bolsters gone, wireless charging, sunglass holder on the ragtop, deck spoiler on the ragtop, tire inflator and sealer gone across the line, pony puddle lamps and illuminated sill plates, floor mats, homelink, B&O radio is now a stand alone $1000 option, no longer in the 401A package. Sure the 10 speed is no longer a $1500 option but they are making up for that by deleting features and raising the prices

@Illini4 ...... also make sure you have ordered the FULL screen option (if you want that) as it is now optional I think on all but the 401A package. Others will get tow screens. Yes, the lighted Mustang sills have been deleted, the full screen is now an option and the lighted mustangs from the mirrors may be gone and the aluminum pedals are an option now too. Ford is not the only one doing this friends have said a number of other manufacturers are scaling back options to try to hold costs down. Ford did do one SMART thing with their Mustangs - the made the 10R80 transmission an no charge selection and instead made the B&O/subwoofer a cost whereas it used to be the other way around.
