Can someone send me photos of their unmolested active exhaust tips? Had an x-pipe installed last week and they missed the mark on where the exhaust tips should be. I need examples of what it should look like so they get it right this time.

I installed an H pipe doesn’t look much different than yours. Hope these help.

If you mean protruding out more then yes. I had that as well but took it back to the Exhaust shop because of a rubbing sound beneath the car and the Owner corrected that, explained how when in Quiet Mode that the valves have a hard time remaining closed with the pressure pushing out. These are the before pictures …

I’ll have to take some more recent pics after his Adjustments.

I installed an H-Pipe myself and one side droops a little. I tried many times to loosen and push it up but keeps creeping back down. 😒 I gave up and will wait till I get a catback for it to be corrected.

Loosen the butt clamps connecting the h-pipe at rear. Use a 30” 2x4 and floor jack to relieve pipes rear of H-pipe.
Twist the tips so they are straight, tighten back up.
this is why they look like they are sagging.
The hangers are welded on the mufflers so height can’t be adjusted, it’s the twist

I hear you with that. I've puahed them up and tightened them and they were looking perfect but after a few rides they start to droop back down. The clamp just doesn't hold them good

I’m a little old fashion.
I think I’ll leave mine like it came from the Factory?
I know it will look like everyone else.

I’ve been having this issue since I first had my Valvetronic Catback installed - drooping muffler and the tips protuding, a shop said they wouldn’t be able to fix without cutting the exhaust. Anybody else heard that from shops? After getting an X/H pipe?

There is gonna have to be some fitment adjustments to have it done. I know I heard some cutting and whatnot when I had my X Pipe and then H Pipe installed. But there should not be that much of the pipes protruding out that way … imo.

I’m with you, the Valvetronic system is a multi-piece so I’m wondering if the left and right tubes got mixed up? Might be cintributing to over protruding. I’ve been looking for a local shop to take a more in depth look.

Tighten those clamps harder. It really can't be anything else.

Shop i took mine to is known around central Illinois because the guy takes legit 10 minutes extra to line up the tips and have you ok the placement before finishing. He also suggested welding my Hpipe on the rear instead of using the supplied clamps on the rear side where you cut, leaving only the front side production clamps in place.
