Has anyone experienced this on a 2024-2026 Mustang EcoBoost?

This has only happened once, but it has me concerned.

After driving normally for about 40-50 miles, I did a full-throttle pull on an open road. As the car reached around 79-80 mph, it suddenly stopped accelerating. The accelerator pedal was fully to the floor, but the transmission upshifted and the car would not go any faster than about 80 mph.

There were no warning lights, no messages, and all engine/coolant/transmission temperatures were normal. I pulled over, shut the car off for about 30 seconds, restarted it twice, and the issue was still there. Then I parked for about 15 minutes, restarted the car, and everything was back to normal. It has not happened since.

I scanned the car with FORScan afterward, and there were no DTCs or pending codes.

One thing I also noticed shortly before this happened was that cruise control would not let me increase the set speed above 80 mph. The speed limiter feature was not enabled, and I verified that wasn’t the issue.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? If so:

* What ended up causing it?
* Did the dealer find anything?
* Were there any software updates or module replacements that fixed it?

I also have a video of the incident if that helps compare symptoms.

One of my MagneRide connectors on my Mach 1 had a fault and I got a dash warning that top speed was limited to 80mph. No codes, just a warning. Did you get any kind of unusual dash warning, maybe something intermittent? Electronic glitches can be soooooo frustrating.

Sounds like speed and cruise setting nannies are on in the infotainment. Go in there and shut everything off.
