Helps keep a tab on how many V8 S650's have been built / sold. Would guess the 150k is all US models up until recently with ROTW not included in that recall notice but will no doubt happen soon enough.
I wonder how many days the stop sale for the wiper issue was lifted for before this issue happened and stopped them again.
Not enough time for my dealer to sell any of the 3 mustangs they have on the lot.

Ha yeah, I picked up a new '25 a couple weeks ago with deep discounts... it spent most of the past year on the lot with recall holds.

If the grounds need to be repaired the grounds on the drivers side are fairly easy to get to. The passenger side is more involved to get to. I would guess 2 to 3 hours tops.

Service advisor told me the same thing. Aside, the grounds that I can easily spot look intact--but not an area of expertise.

But also not the problem in the recall. The affected eyelets are on too tight and are overstressed and may fail at any time.
I'd love to of been a fly on the wall during their 8D meetings discussing this.

On the Hazop/Hara system this must of been really rare and obscure. Got to wonder the chain of customer complaints that led to this conclusion.

Stress would come from a wire for instance being too short and causing a constant pulling against the crimp area of the eyelet. The ground wire looks to be 12 gauge. As far as the ring of the eyelet being so tight from being torqued down one might see metal being pushed out in the area. Ford will most likely do a visual inspection to make sure these conditions are not present.

Hi ROKET , I looked at the schematics ground distribution for the 2024 model year and there are I counted 26 ground points to the vehicle metal frame that I could see. They have labels "G100-G115, G200-G204, G300,301 and G401-406. I have attached PDF from the ground distribution that show these. The 73 pages of the vehicle component location views only 26 pages cover these. PDF page 2 show G111 point that covers the items under the "G1D141" The G104 in my PDF would cover "G1D120" and G107 would cover the "G1D143". I have attached a page cut from the location view that shows G111 and G107 locations. I hope this helps a little.

I see in the schematics the PCM and Trans are grounded at G101 which the location given is "Right Side Engine Compartment". Do you guys think this could be G1D145? It also appears this location gets grounded to the engine itself through G113 which is listed as "Top Front of Engine"...

This G1D145 is my greatest concern as this would cause me to be stuck on the side of the road waiting for a tow. All the others would be simple annoyances. I've made and designed harnesses in my time, so I want to locate the most critical one so I can keep an eye on it and if need be repair it myself. (Or at least get me home. Until there is a proper fix from Ford.)
