I noticed the same thing on my previous 2020 and 2023 Mustang GT California Specials. Thankfully, I live in NJ where the gas attendants do it. When I drive out of state, I get multiple clicks from the pumps at various gas stations.

Even with my old exhaust, I never hit 7k rpm. LOL! I'm going to try when I take it on the highway:)

I ordered my 2026 Mustang GT Premium back in November 2025. I did not get mine until Easter weekend.

I know this thread is old, but I have a S650 GT Premium with active exhaust and Ford Performance X pipe. After running this setup for about 2 months, the tips on both sides have sagged (twisted) a bit. I'm wondering if the sagging (twisting) eventually stops or does it keep rotating?

Hey guys! I'll be having a shop install the FORD Performance X Pipe on my 2026 GT Premium this Monday. On my 2020 and 2023, we had to make sure we left enough room on the passenger side actuator so it would not rub against the back. Any known issues with the S650?

When your car made that noise due to the output shaft, was it one single noise? Did it happen everytime you were slowing down? Thanks for the input.

Thanks for chiming in. It's definitely random and does not happen all the time, but when it does occur, it is while I am slowing down after accelerating. Seems to happen when the car is hot (driven for a while). I'm just not used to it. My 2020 and 2023 S550 with Ford Performance X Pipe did not...

Thanks for chiming in. I just find it weird that my 2020 and 2023 S550's with active exhaust did not do this.
