I’ve gotten many thumbs up and positive comments which is cool…. I’ve also gotten yelled and honked at (with genuine anger) by a Tesla owner for driving a ”gas guzzling V8” to which I say - One Less EV!!!! I gave them a few rev’s to burn more fuel lol.
Just mention the rare earth guzzling POS slot car he drives. Tell him Tosla drivers would qualify for Olympic womens teams on testosterone levels.
My apologies to any Tesla owners here in advance.

@MegaMan ...... a Tesla driver said that to me as I was parking my 'stang at a mall. I said - do some research SIX times the environmental damage was done making your Tesla compared to my Mustang AND the fossil fuels used to generate the electricity for your car exceed gasoline refining BUT thank you for saving gasoline for me to burn - while you sit at a charging station...... BEST of all his wife told him to shut up.

When I first got my Shadow Black Dark Horse with Handling package. I was out for a drive and came up beside a Mach E when the girl in the passenger seat started to give thumbs up and how great my car looked it was funny because the guy driving it didn't look happy lol.
One day I parked in Wegman's (grocery store) and far away from other cars as I always do and I see this beautiful woman walking toward my car, not me I'm sure. She says some compliment about the car and I thanked her. Her husband who was maybe 50' behind her didn't look as impressed. Glenn

People always stopped me to rave about my 06 GT. I had it as a 70 Boss tribute style.

I think my 25 looks just as sharp. But haven’t gotten any verbal compliments…but I have seen heads turn. But I love looking at it walking up to it in the parking lot as much as my ‘06.

I do not think it is compliments, so much, as folks just excited to see my car. It has been years since I had a car where folks would drive up beside and shout things and roll down their window and give a thumbs up.

My last one was a 1966 Pontiac GTO (many years ago).

I was a little shocked so many folks would be excited about this car, but they are. I smile and wave back.
I was passing a couple coming out of a store a few days ago, and both of them gave me a thumbs up. I just did the same to them and kept driving. It is a nice feeling knowing that others appreciate my choice of car. This occasion and the beautiful woman at Wegman's are not unique by a long shot, but I still appreciate them acknowledging my choice. Glenn

Amen! ..... and I think it is also acknowledgement that we are the last of the "real" bada$$es out there or for the older guys on the forum - the last of the James Dean rebels. We can cruise with the crowd but at a moments notice to the famous Mustang roar and a spinning of tires we can separate from the crowd and anyone knows, as they approach our cars, that we have that feeling of freedom available to us. Sure, the cars ain't cheap but IMO the feeling is priceless. When I drive my car I feel that it wants to go and I am always (well almost always) having to restrain its natural instinct. Even when at a light with a "sporty" car beside me I know that driver is not sure how things are going to go for him. They all seem nervous .....Just sayin'

You know, folks? In traffic, part of it could be them seeing that huge new glass computer/dash staring back at the driver……..especially on convertibles like ours? When they first see a Mustang, they do not expect that at all, I think.

It's not negative at all. I'm getting compliments for work that other did just sound crazy.

It's different if you buy and choose interior objects that you haven't made yourself, but placing them in a way that makes your house look good. If people compliment me for that, I will gladly see that as a compliment because I made the house look the way I placed all those stuff.

But taking compliments on a car that I haven't made just sound crazy to my ears.
Would you rather hear "that's an ugly piece of shit!"? 😁

Did I say I dislike people being nice?
From your previous posts, it does sound like you’d rather have people tell you….”Wow, Ford really did a nice job building that!!”…..lol…..

They seem 'nervous' because they know theres a good chance the clown behind the wheel might spin the tires and send the nose of the mustang directly into their fender
