People are willing to say they will pay large ADMs, but then back out of deals. Happens all the time. Some dealers threaten one just to see if you're serious, since many people are not. Some will mark up the car more if you want a "weird" color since it becomes harder to sell in their eyes.

I called quite a few dealers when I was hunting down my GT500. The range of responses was honestly bewildering. I got salesmen who were unexplainably defensive, dealers who immediately mentioned huge markups, many who just didn't understand the system, and how it worked at all promising stupid things like guaranteeing allocations they clearly did not have, and some who just didn't want to deal with customers who knew even slightly more than they did about what was going on. There were of course, a few that were "normal", and knew what was going on but had their allocations spoken for, or who knew they were not paid into the system to get one.

I'm sure its the same thing all over again, except now the car costs even more.

IDIOTS - honestly, Dealer stated to me today that documents were sent out to dealers a month or so ago those looking to acquire an SC had to join "the program" with an initial cost of $5K. But here's the kicker apparently even if the dealer coughed up the $5K that didn't mean nor did it guarantee they would get an initial allocation. Dealer stated, they see ADM's in excess of $50K on initial orders on the first go...

:facepalm: :explode::shock:
ok, whoever told you that stuff was just flat-out lying. it's only $3500, and joining the program promises one allocation, with future ones dependent on sales performance

also, i have some new information. Ford shared a statement about the price, and it sums up to basically saying the vehicle may cost in the $95k to $115k price range. whether that's base price or realistically optioned is unknown, as well as other details that my affect the price. by the sounds of it, they were really non-committal to anything yet, so that range is my own assumption based on information they gave. take it with a massive grain of salt. but also, that lower end compliments my estimated base price very well

We're going to need a DHSC ADM flex thread where everyone can show how well off they are by bragging about how much they overpaid.
don't forget about the clown emojis being added under their profile name, 1 for every $5000 over spent

Go on and laugh, but there was a guy on FRF who proudly copped to a +25k on a Raptor - not a Raptor R. And don't get me started on the Bronco Raptor buyers...
Bronco Raptor buyers are something else entirely, i don't get those people. but yeah, i'm gonna laugh all day at those that were duped into paying markups

ADM … and purchase history is the road we’re going down, 50k, plus a new F150 or explorer etc…

they want to copy the Porsche model, want a 911 turbo?… start buying macans and cayennes to gain favor with a dealer.

I kind of doubt that, Ford dealers are not anything like Porsche. In my experience.

People that buy these limited cars with huge ADMs live in a different world than most of us. And I'm not talking about the TikTok influencers and Kalshi winners, I mean people with real money.

It's just a car. Pick one up used in a few years or buy a Blackwing.

I like to disassemble things.
5 grand? wow Ford is changing the rules on dealers.
I just got schooled on the bump. Ford initially announced to dealers it'd be $3500. Dealers balked. When the program was finalized, fairly recently, it was announced it would cost $5000 to enroll. Dealers complained again. The guy that heads sales with Ford responded with "you can easily make that up as you can charge SC customers whatever you want." So here we go again with the pricing bullshit.

Also...top dog, carbon braked DH SC's are going to be extremely limited. They may not call it "Golden Ticket" this time around but the same crap is going to happen with those cars as did with CFTP GT500's. Buying into the program guarantees a given dealer at least 1 car, a base SC. Dealers are going to be asking big money for the carbon or special edition cars if they can get their hands on one.

This bullshit never ends and Ford has no intention to control it in any way.

Which is why the supercharger kit option surprises me -

WHY, unless I'm a collector or something... would I spend -guessing- $125k + let's say you know someone, and another $10k to fund the sales manager's trip to Tahiti for a month, when you can speck out a handling pack MDH + the warrantied blower?

I paid MSRP twice. '09 Ducati 1198s, and my '17 Raptor in January of '17. I don't regret either purchase, but I'd have definitely regretted both by paying over as both have had some issues; like 3 for the Raptor and about 10 for the 5 years I had the Ducati.

Why dh sc over adding a warrantied whipple? Bigger oil coolers, engineered oversized intercooler openings vs stuffing what you can where you can. This is huge imo. Heat sink from multiple drag runs, multiple 60 to 120 street racing, or multiple laps on a road course. I'm not going into price justification, just the want to have those items.
I wonder how many people that added oil coolers to their gt wish they had just gotten a dh that had it.
